Delicious Surprise!
We had a great night as a party of 6 the night before the Aspen Marathon. We tried 6 different pasta dishes and all were great! Our server made fantastic wine pairing recommendations.
Mediocre food and service in Aspen
The burrata was of low quality. The ravioli filling was veal and it did not work very well with the herb it contained. The staff, about 3 of them, was way too pushy about serving our bottled water.
We had a business meeting.
Wait staff was a little too attentive (we were talking and not looking at menus yet) but rather too attentive than not! We shared the salad with bacon, ordered a bottle of wine, and each had an entree (eggplant parm, seafood pasta, ravioli). No complaints by anyone. We sat indoors. All in all a pleasant dinner.
For a last minute reservation this place was fine.
The music is loud enough that you think you're at a rave. We were pretty sure that the bread and pizza came straight from Costco, but at least the arugula salad was good. Like I said - Fine. Just don't expect a quiet or gourmet meal.

Food is always great but for some reason they want to play music so loud you feel like you are in a Euro Club.....they don't know their audience. Plenty of other restaurants where the ambience is as it should be......same for Angelo's as well.
Dine at your own risk, and double check statement
Food good, basic. Found additional $100 added to my tip when statement arrived. Someone added a "1" to my $80 tip, making it a $180 tip on a $400 check. Restaurant wouldn't answer by phone or email, I won dispute thru credit card company. I'd avoid this place and the others owned by the same company in Aspen.

Very busy, but timely service with a reservation. Till I got my credit card bill and saw that someone added a "1" to my tip, making it a $180 tip on a $400 bill, instead of $80. Called, emailed - no response. I disputed the charge and they didn't object, making it obvious this happened. So dine at your own risk. I'd avoid all Aspen restaurants owned by this company.

Terrible service, we sat for 30 minutes before a waiter even came over to take our drink order, would have been longer if we hadn't asked the girl pouring our water to send one over. Two other tables that were sat after us got their food before we even got drinks. Unacceptable at that price point. The food is mediocre at best, way overpriced for what it is and there are tons of other options in town. The bread that came with the burrata was stale, the wine was borderline price gouging, and the service was horrendous. Skip it and go to casa tua or one of the other 1,000 Italian restaurants in town.
Acquolina is priced like the best restaurants in town.
The price point comparison is Casa Tua, yet Acquolina isn't in the same universe of restaurant quality as Casa Tua. $50 Veal Scalopini of which you receive possibly 5 tasteless ounces (Casa Tua's is one of the greatest dishes I have ever had). The $35 spaghetti and meatballs were of the quality and taste of a frozen dinner. ~20% service fee included for takeout. If Acquolina was priced at $30-40 per person per meal, the restaurant could make sense on paper. However, when you are looking at $100 for takeout for one person, there is not a single worse restaurant in the entire town of Aspen. Needs a rebrand to Olive Garden and prices need to be cut in half. I have no clue how there are any five star reviews for this place... please try Casa d' Angelo or Casa Tua, pay similar prices, then return to Acquolina for some perspective on what roughly $100 per person Italian should be. Acquolina reminds me of Jing in a certain aspect: overpriced relative to the direct competitors (Casa Tua and Matsuhisa), but Jing is great because it is truly a blast of an experience every time you go and the food is still terrific. Both the ambiance and the food are anemic at Acquolina. Acquolina is small town Midwest Italian; absolutely nothing wrong with that, can be very enjoyable, but everything is wrong with that at their current prices. One of the few restaurants I have ever eaten at where I feel truly annoyed and ripped off every time I get dragged in even when I am not the paying guest.

Great Food; Rudest GM Ever - STAY AWAY he’s a racist!
Food was excellent and staff was great. Biggest problem was with their GM, Carlos Valenzuela , that was beyond rude to my family which included 6 children. When the 13 of us walked in, we immediately felt like we were profiled. He said to us we only had 90 minutes to eat and we would have to leave. When I mentioned it would be really hard for 13 people to finish so quickly, he said that there was nothing he could do. They sat us at the way back of the restaurant next to the kitchen and then came over to us at 90 min with the check and told us it was time to go. It was beyond disrespectful. We had 6 kids with us that were all asking why we were kicked out . He was so rude. I honestly don’t know how such a restaurant with such history in ASE would ever choose to have such a disrespectful, rude and arrogant manager. It’s a shame. The restaurant is great but we will never go back and will tell all our friends to not go because of the managers behavior.
Trendy but overcrowded
We had a party of 6 and early reservations. It became very crowded and seating was extremely close. Even the waiters had trouble maneuvering the aisles. The noise made it difficult to talk. Our food was good but a bit pricey for what we got. Nothing impressive. Surprised bread was extra with pasta dishes. Live and learn.
Yuk. Save your money. A total rip off.
We went for dinner as a party of four. The menu is pricey, which would be fine if the food was any good. It was not. All four meals were terrible. Bland. Over cooked, not seasoned, bad recipes. They even managed to mess up a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. We ended up paying over 100 dollars per head without even ordering any wine. We told the waiter we thought the food was bad and he walked off without saying anything. A sad and miserable tourist trap. Avoid it at all costs. It’s truly awful.
Rushed us through the dinner.
When we wanted to order desert they said they needed the table and we could wait for a seat at the bar. Food is average quality and overpriced even for aspen.

Decent food but very very over priced

I ordered the veal scaloppine and it was inedible. It was so tough. Very disappointing $300 meal for my husband and I. My husband did like his appetizer of beef carpaccio with black truffles . Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Their grilled seafood appetizer, ceased salad, pizzas and veal ragú over pappardelle or gnocchi are absolutely fabulous. If you're craving something creamier, their carbonara is also excellent.
If I could give zero stars I would.
My significant other and I drove from Denver to go to a show at Belly Up. We were looking for a place to eat and our friend actually suggested this place. We showed up a little after 5 and the whole restaurant is basically empty. The server comes by and wastes time giving us the specials, I am familiar with this at nice restaurants but this is important for the next part. We are already in a hurry to get to the show (why we didn't want sparking or tap water) and ironically we give our app order and he rudely tells us we need to order our whole meal at once- that the kitchen is busy with two tables in the restaurant... He then proceeds to walk away and not come back? Curious if they are so busy and need us to leave so quickly, why he didn't give us time to give our full order. I understand that we weren't dressed extremely nice (because we are going to Belly Up) but we have paid over $600 for meals before. Dining at Tavernetta, Wolf's Taylor, etc. Don't judge people by what they look like. It's extremely rude and honestly a bit hurtful. Even if we didn't look the part, money still spends the same and this place wasn't THAT expensive...

I like the decor but the ambiance was strange.
We dined there on a Saturday night and it was jamming top 40 pop music when there was so many older generation clientele and the music was pretty loud. It was just strange to have that loud of music in a nice setting. Anyways, we had the mussels for appetizer and it was so good, especially the sauce that it was in. It tasted more like soup so I drank it like it was soup. I had the chicken Milanese and it was also very tasty. My friend had the Bucatini but honestly it tasted like spaghetti with thick noodle...although tasty as well. She also had the barrel aged negroni cocktail which was delicious. Prices were expensive but everything in Aspen is expensive. Service was exceptional.
Great meal in Aspen
We had great food and the atmosphere was also very pleasant. Aspen prices seem to be higher than those in the rest of the U.S. for the same dishes. Service was great. I had the gnocchi bolognese and a grrat salad.

The pasta wasn't the best because the tomato sauce was store bought. The stuff it was supposed to come with was very little. Although the mushroom rollatini was pretty good. The service was was good and was timely. The prices are over the roof though. I got a olives with some cheese and it was $18 and they weren't warm or herbed. The ambience was overall a good experience, if it was priced better then I would consider going back for a casual dinner

Gluten Free Guy (Celiac)Look, the lamb chops and the gluten free bread had me locked in on a 5 star. They were stupendous ... highly recommend. Fries great too. I would not recommend getting the GF pasta here. I've had great and terrible GF pasta, this was somewhere in the lower quintile, clams were great though. Stick to meat if you have celiac disease. Ambiance, service A+.
The one thing I can say about this place was the ambience
The one thing I can say about this place was the ambience was very beautiful from the lights outside to the decorations and the bar inside. I do however think it was a little overrated I've had pasta way better millions of places I wasn't a fan. The one thing I can see with the drinks were incredible but the food even the calamari wasn't a hit it was a little soggy wish it was more crispy. My pasta tasted very heavy didn't have a lot of flavor wish it was more creamy but it felt very grainy.

Rude Anna
We arrived 10 minutes before our 7pm reservation. We checked in and Anna said we should wait for our table. Then another family from New York showed up and they were sat ahead of us with the same 7pm reservation time. Anna is not a fair person. We have many other choices in aspen for dinner and that’s we’re will will go. Aquafina has lost a frequent costumer!!! Easy to be rude in the good times. Good luck in the coming downturn. We will not be supporting you.

So many other great restaurants in aspen. And Anna the hostess is rude. Also I believe the person that had food poisoning on 9/21. We smelled a foul salmon plate being served to the table next to us. Avoid.

I got terribly sick from food poisoning at Aquolina on the night of 9/21, Wednesday. My dinner was the grilled salmon, usually a safe choice. It took over 24 hours for me to recover.I have reported this to the Putin County Health Department.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Acquolina Aspen to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Acquolina Aspen!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
