Weekend Dinner With Friends
This restaurant is 38 floors into the clouds with an amazing view of the CN Tower. Known for sushi and steak. A cool feature to try was its anime themed cocktails! My friends and I made sure to try those as well as items from there Summerlicious three-course dinner: Drinks: 🌙Cresent Moon Wand 🐉Dragon-Pop Food: 🥑Yasai Uramaki Vegetarian Sushi Roll 🥩Steak Tartare 🥗Wedge Salad 🍗Charred Piri Piri Chicken 🐟Broiled Atlantic Salmon ⚪️Spicy Scallop Roll 🐙Broiled Octopus Overall, some of the food was a hit or miss. Out of the list we tried above, I would recommend the salmon, sushi dishes and wedge salad.
5 Stars
Honestly hand down some of the best experience and food we’ve had at any high end restaurant. Portions were generous and all around delicious. We got the beef tenderloin and the stuffed chicken paired with the buttery mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Emily was serving us and she was kind and attentive. Would definitely dine here again.

The view and decor was nice, but I didn't enjoy the 7oz bacon steak. I did ask the waiter if I needed to add a side but was told it's alright without one as there's the onion rings/crisp. Maybe it would be better with sides. 1/4 of the slab was fatty, 1/2 was charred and hard to chew, 1/4 was dry. My drink wasn't that great. Was there catching up with friends and the view. Food wasn't great.
Great skyline views
Aera is located on the 38th floor of The Well where you can enjoy 360 degree panoramic views of the city along with your dinner or round of drinks. Opening hours are 4pm to 10pm (Sun to Thurs) and 4pm to 1am (Fri & Sat). Met friends here recently and enjoyed a round of cocktails in the evening. Drinks were nicely mixed, service friendly, prices reasonable for the venue and views. Would be happy to visit Aera again based on this experience.
Came here for after dinner drinks. Bartender was great with giving recommendations. Also ordered dessert here. I think this place offers the best views of the CN Tower. Enjoyed the DJ playing music and the vibes and aesthetic were nice.
Not All Bottles are the Same
This is a lovely restaurant but I have a small quibble: the sommelier was pleasant and approachable but when we ordered a second bottle of the same wine she just opened it and poured it into the glasses that had the remains of the first bottle. Not even one new glass and a taste of the second bottle. I didn’t say anything because we were hosting business colleagues. However, I find it hard to believe that a trained sommelier would do that.

THE VIEWS were the BEST part of my experience at Aera! It was so breathtaking. I sat at the chef's table with unobstructed views of the CN Tower. The overall ambiance was an upscale, classy and chic vibe. The service was impeccable from the hostess to my waiter. They were pleasant and nice. One hostess even took my picture with the amazing backdrop. The waiter provided excellent recommendations for my meal. Now for the food: Mocktails: 10/10 very refreshing Oysters: 7/10 They were just okay. Spicy Sushi Rolls: 9/10 because they were very filling and delicious. Beef tenderloin: 7/10. I would have liked a bit more flavor. I ordered it medium well, and it was juicy but not not as good as others I have had in elsewhere. Mushroom side dish: 9/10 very good. Overall, my experience at Aera was AMAZING and I would highly recommend it simply because of the stunning VIEWS.

Wowowow!! As the sister restaurant of the renowned Canoe - the view at Aera definitely is similar. The inside looks more modern & sultry though, more suitable for a hot date or meal before the clubs. We tried: -Cocktails City Z, Amelia, Strawhat, Espresso martini -CLASSIC MOLASSES BREAD (5/5) SO FRESH and fluffy - absolutely can taste the molasses flavour. Pair it with the truffle appie and it's a tastebud explosion duo -WHIPPED BLACK TRUFFLE PARFAIT (5/5) so creamy, rich, & savoury. Love the presentation -STEAK TARTARE (4.5/5) delicious and love the textures -BROILED SCALLOPS (4/5) can't go wrong with these bacon-wrapped scallops, just wish for the price there were more! -BEET & BURRATA SALAD (4/5) -CANADIAN PRIME STRIPLOIN (4.5/5) -SASHIMI PLATTER (4/5) -WTF SUSHI ROLL (5/5) LOVED every bite, HOWEVER they could've gotten away with using shrimp instead of the lobster tempura since you couldn't taste the lobster with the wagyu dominating most of the flavour anyways. The presentation with the dry ice & bone marrow was cool too
Management gave us a terrible Birthday Experience
I made reservations for my Wife's birthday over a week prior to May 11 2025 - I arranged a South Exposure window seat which they assured me they had booked. They told me if I had any special requests i.e. specific seating to rebook the reservation directly in the Aera Restaurant website. When I went to make this change their website was having technical difficulties. The Host insisted they would look after the special seating request direct because of their technical difficulties. When I arrived they attempted to seat us in another part of the restaurant not of interest to us without honoring their commitment to the South Exposure window seat they assured us they had reserved for us for this special event. The communication among their staff is terrible and they tried to convince me that I didn't follow procedure in securing this special seating request. My wife and I walked and promise to never come back to this very unprofessional and ignorant facility. Terrible accommodations terrible management. I wouldn't even think to returning. Ignorant is the only word that comes to mind Terrible Experience
What a view
It's all about the view. Simply amazing. The service is good. The steaks while overpriced, were cooked well and tasted good. The mashed potatoes were simply ok. A place like this should up its game with this. Maybe a Truffle mashed. My mojito could have been better. But it was a great evening.

Food was decent and a bit overpriced for the quality and portion, but the views and ambiance make up for it.
I had a really poor experience at this overhyped restaurant
I had a really poor experience at this overhyped restaurant / bar. We arrived there for late night drinks and despite lot of tables being available, the hostess made us sit at the bar. Those tables continued to be empty and were later given to other people arriving after us (without reservations). The drinks were average and the host was careless. We had to call them multiple times to get basic service.

We made a reservation for a table with a CN Tower view, and it was absolutely perfect--you could see the tower clearly from the restaurant. On the other side, there was also a beautiful lake view, making the overall atmosphere and scenery truly amazing. We visited during Winterlicious for lunch, and the price was very reasonable for the quality of food and experience. The dishes were delicious and well-prepared. What stood out the most was the exceptional service--our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and took care of every request, often noticing our needs before we even asked. It was truly impressive. They also offer a set lunch at a relatively lower price on weekdays, which makes it even more worth visiting. I will definitely be going back sometime!
Such a vibe here! Drinks are boozy and views are great.
Service was decent. We came for happy hour. Happy hour cocktails are $15 so still pricey but worth it for the views. Great spot for date night or a night out with friends. Washrooms were pretty cleans. Limited parking and wheelchair accessible

The hostess was not that friendly, she asked if I had a reservation, found it, and told me to wait to be taken to the table. I honestly wish they would just let me walk over to my party, because this took a few minutes. The view is absolutely stunning, and the area overall was quite comfortable. We ordered cornbread for our app, and this was incredible, such a texturally pleasant item, sweet and savoury, and the butter was a nice accompaniment. I had the lobster pasta, and this was absolutely delicious, but I think there wasn't enough lobster in the dish, our server let us know there would be one tail and two claws, but this was not the case. However, I really enjoyed the sauce I also tried the steak, it was a good cut and medium rare. The cod was extremely sweet, and the taste of the fish was overwhelmed with this, it honestly tasted like candy, this is one of the few items I would avoid all together. The sticky toffee pudding is one of the best desserts I've ever tasted, the lava cake was incredibly rich and could have used a hearty scoop of vanilla ice cream for that balance that was missing from this plate.
Birthday dinner???
This was my birthday dinner. Service was slow. Nobody came to take our drink order for 15 minutes. Once we ordered our appetizers they came right away. The corn bread was delicious, the burrata salad was average. We ordered our mains. My husband got his pork chop, delicious but small, right away. My order came but it was the wrong thing. They put in the correct order but brought me the same wrong order. By that time my husband finished his meal. So I cancelled mine. Why ask if you’re celebrating something special if no one cares. Disappointing
Food and service was good, except for one disappointing
Food and service was good, except for one disappointing element. I arranged ahead of time to have a special dessert for my wife because it was her birthday. After dinner, I was expecting to see the special dessert arrive at the table and it never did. Just a generic form of dessert with no"happy birthday" message. Very disappointing.
A real “got to go to” place
Visited Aera on our first trip to Toronto and it definitely has the Wow Factor in terms of both food and views. Our server was excelllent and the meal was amazing. I’ll be back for the burger next time 😍
had a really great time here and the food was excellent.
if you have visitors, i recommend paying the extra fee to get a seat with a view of the CN tower. there is a lot to choose from on this menu from classic steakhouse dishes to sushi. sides are separate and shareable. it's a tad pricey but worth it for the experience. service was excellent
Aera of errors
This is a restaurant on top of the Well in Toronto. Great view of the Toronto skyline. The restaurant is over priced for its food and service. We were a table of 8 and when dinners arrive they were all placed in the wrong place. Service was slow and unfriendly. Not a place I would recommend for food but for the view.
Lovely dinner venue
Company hosted event for customers was superb. The wait staff was attentive but not dominant. The prix fixe menu offered great selections and the food was delicious. The view of Toronto was spectacular all around. Would recommend this for business or casual dining with friends.
Pay for the view…not for the food. Save your money and avoid this place
Save your money. The sushi is over-priced. You pay triple the price and get the same quality sushi and tempura from your local Japanese restaurant. The $250 seafood tower is sub par - a couple shrimps and crappy sides. Just like all the other O&B restaurants. Overrated. Bugs on windows. There are far better places to go in Toronto.
Aera Toronto. Oh I love you.
Am I the first? Yes I am!. And let me tell you, I recommend arranging a seat near the window as the views of Toronto are spectacular from the 38th floor. My sister is in town from up north and we decided to come down here for dinner as a group of 4. The menu the service and most importantly the drinks, quite possibly the best Old Fashioned Ive had in a long time matched with the Aera Manhattan, or this year. (haha get it this year) Also I recommend maritime tuna tartare. A M A Z I N G! Hopefully I will return here soon.
