Blacklock Soho London Reviews
Buzzing!
Being in the windowless basement only adds to the fantastic atmosphere. The serving staff were friendly efficient and helpful. A 650gm porterhouse was perfect for 2 to share, it was excellent quality and perfectly cooked. The beef gravy is so good you could drink it from the jug. A fantastic night
Excellent food and service on a Tuesday night.
The service was prompt and pleasant. The food was excellent. We had the filet and sirloin with sweet potatoes, Waldorf salad, and heirloom tomatoes. It is in a basement and you can easily walk past the entrance. So keep your eyes open. After dinner we strolled SoHo and it was a perfect end to a great meal.
Fantastic
Been there for food twice. Excellent service and food. The white cheesecake its fantastic 100% recommended. The house beers was really nice and cold us they should be.
Best Sunday Roast and Cheesecake in London!
Blacklock Soho is my favourite spot in London. If you like all kinds of meat, go for the All In Sunday Roast (ยฃ26) - beef, lamb, and pork with all the trimmings and endless gravy. Personally, I stick to the beef medium-well and it's perfect every time. And don't leave without the cheesecake - easily the best I've ever had. Great hospitality and service, easy booking. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, perfect for a Sunday meal with friends or family.

We came here as soon as we arrived in London and ended up coming back three times during our stay--that's how good it was! On our first visit we had the Sunday Roast (the All In) and it was beyond amazing. One tip: let them know how you'd like the meat cooked, otherwise it might be a bit under for most people's taste. The food was delicious, the atmosphere cozy, and it felt like home. The highlight was their white chocolate cheesecake--the best we've ever had. The host was extremely friendly, and even without a reservation we were seated quickly after just a short wait. Great food, wonderful service, and a truly welcoming place. Definitely a must-try in London.
Perfect birthday treat
My mother and I visited for a meal on 27th August for my mums birthday. The staff are so friendly and professional. Nothing was too much effort and it seemed they really wanted to be there to make you happy. The food is faultless and the most delicious chops Iโve ever had and the atmosphere was just perfect. The lady in the front desk even chased after us when we left a bag at our table.
Steak Experts!
Dovine dinner for 2 at blacklock. Staff are friendly and full of knowledge and expertise about the menu which was very helpful. Food was absolute perfection. Started with the pigs head on toast, WOW! Full of flavour. Main we shared the porterhouse 750g weight was perfect for 2 people. Was cooked to perfection. Complemented by the Blacklock sauce (peppercorn) and the garlic bone marrow was acceptional, sweet potatoe & bbq gem! We will definitely be back!
Good for a Sunday roast
Heading downstairs, the restaurant is in the basement so didn't get much natural light. A queue dies built up on the stairs. We were seated next to the toilet and as I have a strong sense of smell, I found the odour coming from there off putting. The service is quick and we ordered the trio of meats which arrived swiftly. It looked good piled up. It does look a lot when you place it on your plates (the plates themselves could have been larger to accommodate the food but maybe thats a psychological idea to make it look like more food. There was just a slice of pork, beef - i didn't really see the lamb. A few potatoes, lots of sliced carrots, the sauces and gravy. It was tasty enough. I think my friend would have preferred to choose from the normal meat menu rather than the Sunday roast.
Great food, friendly service
Great location close to Piccadilly circus, Blacklock is a great steak restaurant if you fancy delicious, succulent steak. It is a laid back industrial style basement restaurant with not a lot of seats. We have ordered 700g porterhouse shop and 450g bone in sirloin steak with chop sauce, walnut salad and chips for 3 of us. Perfect size for us. The steaks were cooked over real charcoal and seared to perfection. Service was good and friendly, best to pre book to avoid disappointment.
Iconic Sunday Roast experience.
One of the best dinners i've ever had. Everything was absolutely perfect. Super fun, laid back casual atmosphere with impeccable food. If you're visiting London and want a Sunday Roast look no further. Reservations highly recommended. They were turning people away at the door but we walked right in with a rez.
TASTY
This was our 2nd visit to Blacklocks, having previously been to the Manchester branch. The Soho one is tiny in comparison. As this was our 2nd visit this time we didn't over order. We skipped the starters and just went straight in with mains. We shared a 600g Prime Rib, 2 chips and a salad with a boat of gravy. The rib was cooked to perfection, seared on the outside and just melt in the mouth cooked medium rare, incredibly tasty. Blacklock chips are just amazing, dipped in the gravy. The salad just fresh and tasty enough to share. Butchers prices Monday gives a good discount on the meat. I had two glasses of the Lemon Drop cocktail and to be honest I necked it, excellent drink and tastes so good I didn't care that it was ยฃ9 a glass. The service was yet again brilliant, attentive, yet laid back friendly and welcoming. Our bill came to ยฃ92 inc service charge. Absolutely no complaints from us. We loved it and will definitely go back again. Blacklocks do steak and chips incredibly well, oh and it's served on a plate, not a board or a slab or slate but a good old fashioned place. 5 * for the plate before you even taste the food
Excellent food and service
Excellent meal and experience here. The food was delicious (we did the โall inโ option - very plentiful!), and our waiter was fantastic. Would love to revisit soon!
Fantastic little find, must pre book
We arrived an hour early but they accommodated us as well as they could. The service and communication was great and the team very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing.
Sundays in the UK call for a Sunday roast! woke up in
Sundays in the UK call for a Sunday roast! woke up in London and said I really need to have a Sunday roast. I googled the best Sunday roast and came up with this joint, everywhere it said it was impossible to get a reservation so I jumped on open table in the low and behold they had one reservation at noon and I grabbed it. I have to say hands-down this was the best Sunday roast I ever had. The Yorkshire pudding was so delicious and I know that's a basic dish but was so light and fluffy. We did all the different meats. All of them did not disappoint. The gravy did not disappoint and are you kidding me with that white chocolate cheesecake somebody call me an ambulance. I'm about to go into comatose. If I could give it more than a five star rating I would

Food was amazing! We got the beef sunday roast and the service was great. The beer was cooked to perfection and the accompaniments were also excellent. The sauces and bottomless gravy really tie the meal together. Highly recommend.

Bring on the meat sweats! My girls and I squeezed in this last min reservation on our last day in London (which was also their Mother's Day) and so happy we did! We went all in with the food (Sunday roast with all the meats and fixings) and everything was delicious, we basically needed a wheelbarrow to take us out of there. We also ordered drinks too and they were strong. It was pretty busy and packed so highly recommend making reservations. There are also other locations but we liked our underground basement vibe. When visiting London, you can't leave without a Sunday Roast experience!
First time I've been in London for Sunday roast and my
First time I've been in London for Sunday roast and my friend recommended Blacklock! Definitely need to make a reservation, as I saw everyone that tried to do a walk in get rejected. There's a special Sunday roast menu since they know what everyone came for. Opted for the 55 Day Aged Beef Rump. All their roasts come with Yorkshire pudding, duck fat-roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and gravy. You don't get to pick the way it's cooked, but it's essentially medium rare. I mean, this is everything I hoped for in a Sunday roast. The beef rump tasted great! Liked how the vegetables balanced everything out. Yorkshire pudding was fairly pedestrian. But can we talk about those duck fat-roast potatoes??? Super crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. They were great! Service was fine, no complaints from me. Blacklock absolutely delivered on Sunday roast. Exactly what I wanted!
What an amazing dinner for our family - recommendation from
What an amazing dinner for our family - recommendation from friends who said this was one of their favorite meals and now we understand! The steak was splendid - the fillet truly one of the best I've ever had, like butter, and the ribeye delicious and well balanced in terms of marble. TBH, we for the bernaise and pepper sauces but the meat was so delicious it was better undressed! Our daughter doesn't eat beef and enjoyed the cauliflower steak, and the sides were awesome - order up you'll be happy - sweet potato's were ridiculous, the fries cooked in beef fat, the slaw and the pear salad. Bread and gravy sorta a must, the blacklock lager delicious, and you'll regret not finishing off with the cheesecake - only restaurant I've ever been to that knows their dessert is so good they only have one option. This was as good or better than most American steakhouses and the prices far more reasonable. We came on a reservation between Harry Potter shows and we are so happy we did. Thanks to Nicolaus our waiter for being such a good dining guide!
Every steak lover's dream! We had the medium rare
Every steak lover's dream! We had the medium rare porterhouse--easily the best of the best I've ever tasted. Got all the sauces, and each one added a burst of umami to every bite. So. Steakin. Good. Absolutely lives up to the hype. Will be back again!!!
This was our first Sunday roast experience and it could not
This was our first Sunday roast experience and it could not have been a better one. The food came out quick and it was amazing. The Yorkshire pudding was excellent, especially in the gravy, along with the meat and vegetables. It's a nice place, dim lighting and a traditional pub atmosphere filled with diners, even at 7/8. Our server was attentive and quick with refills. Loved it here.
Donโt go if youโre black
Racist establishment. The guy with the tattoo of glasses seemed disinterested in seating a couple of black Americans. Then he guided us towards Hawkmoors and proceeded to lie about them being their โsister company,โ which the people at Hawkmoors denied. Little did he knowโฆwe were in town with the USA menโs basketball team and would have brought them more lucrative business. Oh wellโฆthat said, highly recommend Hawkmoors in Borough Marketโฆgreat food and service!
Fabulous lunch
A fabulous meal served by fabulous people. James looked after us from start to finish and couldn't have been more helpful. He explained the different cuts of meat and the range of sauces on offer which helped us make up our mind on what to choose. for starters we had the lamb cutlets and side of of bread and Blacklock gravy and they bought up a sample of the chop sauce to go with cutlets. For mains, 1 chose fillet and 1 chose ribeye and both were cooked perfectly. We had side dishes of Roy's salad leaves, bone marrow sauce, more Blacklock gravy, bearnaise sauce and the best triple cooked chips ever! A bottle of rose to wash it all down and just when we thought we couldn't fit anymore in, we plumped for the cheesecake to share and a couple of expresso martinis. We thoroughly recommend a visit.
Amazing roast. Weird use of sour cream.
Really great mixed meat Sunday roast, very good quality and staff were great. All tested amazing, apart from the horseradish sauce which was really just sour cream and was absolutely revolting. I had unfortunately spread it all over my beef before I noticed. Luckily others in my party didnโt have the same revulsion to sour cream as me and ate my beef. Even though they said it did taste weird. I think they also use this in the cheese cake which I also couldnโt eat.
Went for Dinner Food - 4/5.
The pre-chop bites were an absolute delight providing different flavors and textures. The potted meats & kimchi were my favorite as the strong meat flavor paired well with the equally strong funk of the kimchi. From the all in, the lamb chops were fantastic. It was a perfect medium rare, tender, had no gamey flavor and the fat was rendered well. The thickness was just right to give you a satisfying bite. Pork was similar to the lamb in having all the excellent qualities, although falling a bit short in comparison. Fries were very rich with beef flavor and while it was delicious at first, the flavor quickly overwhelmed the palate. Luckily the slaw helped act as a palate cleanser with its refreshing crunch and sour flavor. Gravy had a lot of depth and the rich flavor elevated the meat. The beef, which I imagined would be the star of the show, was disappointing. It was a smaller piece than the other meats but seemed to have been cooked the same amount, resulting in a medium well that was tough. It must have had very little marbling as the beef flavor was entirely lacking. Even with the gravy, it was a chore to eat due to how flavorless and tough it was. The flatbread was very hard and dense, barely soaking up any of the meat juices. Service - 4/5. Friendly and courteous. Value - 4/5. Their portion sizes are very generous, with the all in being served with a heaping pile of meat, sides, and pre-chop bites for ยฃ27 per person. The sauce was extra, at a reasonable ยฃ3 for the gravy. Most items were excellent, except for the beef. The website really sold the idea of quality Cornish beef that made me decide on Blacklock so despite everything else being amazing, I could not get over the fact that the beef was lackluster. The timing didn't work out for us, but it seems like visiting on Monday for butcher price big chops or Sunday for the roast are better options. I would recommend the all in if you want to taste a bit of everything, but a steak or big chop if you're here for the beef. Parking - N/A
Great value, amazing staff!
Absolutely delicious and generous portions; we visited for our anniversary and will definitely be going again! The โall inโ sharer is great value and gives a good taster of the majority of the menuโฆ a well earned five stars!
Sunday roast was incredible.
Huge pile of beautifully cooked meats, too impossibly large to imagine. Drinks were decent, atmosphere was just a tinge past raucous so don't anticipate that this is a place for quiet conversation. Enjoy the noise but most of all, enjoy the food. It's worth a visit.
5 stars!!
5 Stars! Aga was amazing, so friendly, helpful explaining the menu, the drink recommendations were fire! The food was so tasty and good value, it is a lovely restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon, thank you
Fantastic... 100% recommend!!!!
Great service, lovely atmosphere and beautiful food!!!! Although busy, we were messaged to say when our table was ready. Thank you for a lovely evening!!!!
Sunday Roast - not worth the hype.
Oh, I was so disappointed with my visit to Blacklock Soho. Having previously visited Blacklock Canary Wharf on several occasions on a Saturday evening (and loving it!), I was looking forward to visiting Blacklock Soho for a Sunday Roast. The service was extremely slow, despite us telling the service staff that we only had an hour and a half. We waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Our cocktails were lovely when they arrived. The roast was OK. Nothing special at all. Not worth the hype it has received. There isnโt actually that much food. A slice of each meat each, a Yorkshire, a few potatoโs each, some veg - again not loads. It all tasted nice. But there was nothing special about it, and I wasnโt full after. We waited 5 minutes for the free flowing gravy, by which time my meat had gone cold, and even longer for our cauliflower cheese. While the price isnโt extortionate for a roast - I do think youโd be better off just going to Toby Carvery or just visiting Blacklock on any other day than a Sunday!
My family and I just had an excellent dinner for Father's
My family and I just had an excellent dinner for Father's Day at Blacklock in Covent Garden! Not only was the food delicious but the service was incredible! Tristan steered us in the right direction with what to order and places to go while visiting London and Marleigh topped it off with her excellent knowledge of desserts!!! I highly recommend dinning here and having either one as your server!!!
Delicious food at a fair price
Went to blacklock for a business dinner as a group of four. The setting is industrial and the service is unfussy. The staff were the right level of attentive but not over bearing. The food and drink were all delicious and at a fair price. We had to the sharer platter which had a range of chops, all of which were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend if you like steak and meat dishes.
Sunday Roast
Overall enjoyed the visit but was expecting more from previous reviews and hype. Beef was very good pink and tender,, Pork seemed like it was steamed instead of roasted fat not rendered at all and the Lamb was tasty enough but pretty tough. The giant Yorkshire puddings were very ordinary, nice roast potatoes and veg. Service charge of 12.5% added to bill no optionality which is a bit pushy imo. Total ยฃ87 for two which included a sharing roast small beer, glass of wine, one desert and the service charge.
Epic for meat lovers
Although it was a 45 minute wait for a table, it was certainly worth it. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff were super friendly. The food was epic! Itโs a simple concept menu but it was all cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this as a place to eat.
Cracking Sunday lunch, well worth the booking wait time
Booked this trip in November, 6 months before the visit as it was the first date available for me to get there. Had a 12.30 booking and got the about 20 mins early which was not a problem for them, and we were shown to our table straight away. Immediately we had a bottle of water placed on the table and our glasses filled for us, with menus handed to us. Being a Sunday it was the Sunday menu. Off the drinks menu i chose a diet coke, and my wife had a lemonade Cooler ( non alcoholic). Ordered the All in lunch for two ( thats what we went for) and a portion of cauliflower cheese. After a very short wait the drinks came round, as did the food, a plate full of beef, pork, and lamb, two massive Yorkshires with roast potatoes and veg, crackling, a bowl of cauliflower cheese, and a gravy boat with mint sauce, horseradish, and apple sauce. The meats ~ the lamb, pink and so tender just melted in your mouth. The beef ~ again pink and moist with a lovely bit of fat on the edge. The pork~ cooked to perfection as well. The Yorkshireโs~ can honestly say in all the restaurants i have been in, have never had one that size before, must have been at least 5 inches tall, and with the roast potatoes inside them when you poured the gravy in there as wellโฆ.sheer heaven to me. Veg was a medley of roasted parsnips, carrots, and cabbage which we enjoyed as well. All throughout the meal the waiter would come round and top your water glass up for you, a nice touch. Didnโt have room after all that for a desert but they did look good from what we saw. The bill came to ยฃ74.47 service charge included, which for all we had, the location in central London, i didnt think was too bad considering other places i have been too and been charged around the same amount. Now the only downside i would have, and it isnt the food or the service, it would be it got very noisy and you found yourself having to try to talk above what you normally would, but dont let that take anything away from the whole experience. Also you have to go down stairs to get there, so could he accessible problems to people who are u steady on their feet or in wheelchairs. Great place, great food, great service, owould definately go again if in London
If I had one last meal before dying...
So after booking two months in advance for their Sunday Roast, I've found myself a part of a Blacklock cult. After another must do rebooking for dinner, the best 55-day dry aged Ribeye was so red and fatty it deserves the #1 best steak Iโve ever had in my entire travels, ever (33 countries and counting so there is some legitimacy to that statement). This place is BONKERS amazing. We are going a 3rd time before leaving. Put this place on your list. Blacklock Soho, Kam provided the BEST service and we were beyond happy to get to chat with him and learn more about Blacklock - you have an AMAZING person working for you you sings your praises. I can't stop thinking about how that was the best steak I've ever had. Why aren't more people talking about the sixth ribeye on social media? The Brits have it figured out - they just get it. From Sunday roast to this? Screw Hawksmoor for 3x the price and negative 3x the quality. EAT HERE. Go on Sunday's for their Sunday Roast, go again for dinner for their sixth ribeye. Just book it and go. Damn.
Delicious meat, great service
Delicious food, and great service. Very reasonable prices for the quality of food. Staff were very generous, and brought us digestifs and extra cheesecake on the house. Thanks for a great experience!
Urban basement environment with low lighting and wood
Urban basement environment with low lighting and wood chairs. A few soft booths tucked in the corner are the best seats in the house. Open kitchen fun to look at. Satisfying pile of Sunday meats including pork, lamb and beef. The Yorkshire puddings were perfectly crispy and soft with deeply satisfying gravy. Old Fashioned went down easily. I was so full after dinner I looked for an elevator to take me back upstairs. Unfortunately, I don't think they have one so if you need help up or down you may be out of luck.
The food was so delicious.
Their service is so professional. I love their ambiance. I have my breakfast with my wife and we enjoy their food.
Blacklock is GREAT.
I've tried a number of steak/chop houses since I've relocated to London (including the underwhelming Hawksmoor) and none of them have come to close to matching the high quality experience of Blacklock. On entry you will likely have a good first impression. The interior is warm, the vibe is lively but not overwhelmingly loud, and the smells are already extrodinary. My hopes were pretty high even though they've been dashed so many times before in this city. Fortunately all of the food delivered. We had some of the small plate starters (cheese + pickle & the meat + kimchi) and both packed a lot of flavour into single mouthfuls; the cheese n' pickle almost tasted to me like the essence of an enitre Italian American meal in one bite. For the main course we tried the sirloin, burger, one pork belly strip, the chips and all of it was complimented with the gravy - all of it was delicious. Technically it was all a bit one dimensionally BEEFY and the gravy pushed that ratio way over the top but that beef flavor was magnificent; the gravy is just pure unadulterated savoury meat sauce that goes with pretty much everything on the menu. Only the pork belly felt a bit uninspired in comparison but I did enjoy those bites too. Service was great and, overall, you can't beat it for the price. It probably doesn't compare to a great steakhouse in the US but value for the money is enough to offset any feelings entirely. A must visit!

Stopped by here on a recent food tour as I was pleasantly surprised. Inside is very inviting with lots of wood paneling and I could see myself eating a nice Sunday roast there on a rainy day However only got to sample the Pigs Head on toast with gravy- and let me tell you that it was absolutely delicious, nothing like I expected !! Win win Soft tender pull apart pork on toasted bread and delicious gravy that you pour all over and let it get soaked and then yum!!! It's not soggy at all which I was worried about All the rest of the food looked really good so would like to come back and try something else Reservations required as pretty popular
Thursday, February 1st, 2024 reservation for 3pm 12:00pm
Thursday, February 1st, 2024 reservation for 3pm 12:00pm $194.84 I found this venue from the States and while in Amsterdam 3 different Brits said it was a must do so I made a reservation for noon lunch upon arrival to London, England. The venue had a cool vibe, the service provided by Ida was top notch, there were brilliant Brazilians grilling all the meat choices from our entree the All In One (customized for 3 instead of 2) with 3 sides plus drinks handcrafted by a gifted man from Spain and the dessert from the war with a scoop of ice cream was spoon licking bowl scrapping good. We had a lovely experience and everything was flawless from start to finish. Bravo to the chef, staff and management as you exceed your reputation.
Came here for Sunday roast and it was lovely.
Told them i was leaving for home and they gave me cheesecake to go! Really great service :)
Was skeptical at first with it being a chain, but damn that
Was skeptical at first with it being a chain, but damn that meat was divine. Went on Butcher Special Monday. Got a rump of lamb, sweet potatoes and bread soaked in gravy. Quite surprised with the slew of Chinese tourists at 2pm on a Monday, but the restaurant was accommodating and very good at keeping everyone served. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the fat just the perfect level of crispy. Yes to doing this place again. Service and staff was great. Waited on by a woman from Argentina and she was soooooo great! I think was the owner's wife? Great folks.
This surprisingly good steakhouse is the closest I've come
This surprisingly good steakhouse is the closest I've come to the delicious slabs of meat I used to eat in America. What's even more surprising is that it's located smack-dab in the middle of Soho. If you're a local, you'll know Soho isn't necessarily the best place to find a good meal; especially one of this caliber. The ambiance also has a certain vibe; with its somewhat rustic interiors and underground setting, it has an almost secretive quality. Reservations are strongly recommended on a weekend if you're dining in before 6PM. After that, it's first-come, first-serve. My wait was supposed to be an hour and a half, but since it was just me, I only waited half an hour. Still, given how long it takes for those steaks to cook, it's best to plan ahead. The menu isn't the biggest, but since you'll likely be coming here for the meat, anyway, you won't be needing a whole lot of time to pick. They have 4 kinds of steaks, all of which will be cooked to your liking, and several different sides and sauces that are amazing in their own right. I was very happy with my ribeye steak with chimichurri sauce, which must have been homemade, as you won't find that quality coming out of a bottle. Even the sides leave nothing to be desired; my 10-hour ash roasted sweet potato is one of the best choices I've ever made. It's perfectly tender and doused with their own spice blend that makes it one of the most comforting pairings you'll try. The downside is that absolutely everything comes separately, so even the sauce will set you back a few pounds. They do have other dishes like burgers and salads, but even those are limited. From what I saw, they only had one or two veggie options. And really, the steaks are the reason you'd want to come here. Overall, you shouldn't be paying more than ยฃ50 per person, including drinks. Not bad for Soho, at all.

Service is only 2nd to the meal! Quality and quantity vs an authentic British "meat" meal. All aspects were exceptional!
Chop! chop! Hurry to the home of meat on the bone
My friends and I were impressed by our first visit to this Soho basement temple to chops and all things meaty. It was packed on the Sunday lunchtime we attended, (we could soon see why) but squeezing in only added to the vibe. We all chose the selection of chops with a variety of sides. We were slightly surprised (and delighted) to first be presented with canapรฉs, some meaty, some eggy, some cheesy, all on รผber-crisp crackers and delicious. All the meats were flavoursome, juicy and tender. The lamb in particular had us swooning with its depth of flavour and unctuousness. Sides (chips, broccoli, charred baby gem lettuce, jacket sweet potato) were all good, although not all of them arrived promptly. (Service did seem ever-so-slightly overstretched but was unfailingly friendly and interested and it WAS a really busy service, so that was easily forgiven.) This place isnโt big on puds but we tried both those available. The apple and rhubarb crumble with a ball of vanilla ice cream was a delight. Restaurants so often come a cropper with crumbles - Iโm not sure why when, once upon a time, everyoneโs grandma could turn them out weekly without breaking a sweat - but this was spot-on; crunchy, squidgy, not too sweet, and what a great idea to combine the two classic fruits! White chocolate cheesecake was scooped out of a huge tin at the table so it was a bit of a splodge but had good white choc flavour and a properly crunchy base. A litre of house red (a pleasing, soft, fruity Sangiovese) was good value at ยฃ34. Talking of value, we were out of the place for ยฃ40 a head which, in pricey Soho, left a very good taste in the mouth.
Steaks cooked poorly
My wife and I visited for dinner after a local show and the staff were friendly and attentive and we both liked the feel of the place. We ordered T-bone steaks and some sides. I asked for medium rare and it came out more rare than Iโd expect but it was ok. My wife ordered hers well done and when she cut into it, it was still very pink and was, in fact, exactly how I would have wanted mine cooked. We asked if they could cook it again and it came back and was still a bit pink, probably still a medium if anything. We then just ate what we had as the sides were getting cold but when the main thing you do is steaks and chops and you get the cooking so far off what is asked for, twice, thatโs a pretty poor effort.
Really good, great value and service.
Came here for lunch at invitation of a business/friend. Busy Friday lunchtime. We had the "All in" - amazing value at ยฃ24 each including pre-chop bites (canape style starters which we delicious), Thin pork, lamb and beef chops on a bed of flat bread. perfectly done. Service was very friendly and persona and we had a great time. They even managed to find some Guinness for St Patrick day... Well done. Thank you guys. we'll be back.
Intimate ambiance, attentive service, and a delicious
