Perfection
What an experience. The food, the service, the ambiance - perfection! Every innovative dish was painstakingly prepared and absolutely scrumptious. The staff members outnumbered the guests and were so personable and passionate about their craft. Don’t miss the wine pairings - such a wonderful addition to the meal and the sommelier was a star. The meal was worth every single penny and it’s one I will never forget.
Great food but very rushed
It is definitely a cool experience. We had nine people at our table and they were all very friendly. You get to know the other guests in the beginning as you sit outside waiting for everyone to turn up. As a previous reviewer said, go to the bathroom beforehand as the restrooms are outside, and you will miss part of the experience if you leave in the middle. It is an interesting concept; two main chefs are preparing the food in front of you, other chefs are moving around serving, and a sommelier. Pros: The food was super interesting, fun, and tasty. Think of a fois gras empanada, but the pastry is cotton candy! The staff are very friendly. Cons: Way too fast-paced - felt constantly rushed to finish the course (21 courses in 2 hours). If you hadn't finished the course, they just put the next one in front of you. We couldn't always hear what the actual course was as ppl were talking, there was music playing, the chef was quiet spoken. We weren't always sure if the paired wine was for just the one course or should be spread out over two/three courses. Recommendation to restaurant: Slow down the pace, let us enjoy and experience the taste and texture of the food. Stop the music each time your chef is going to explain the dish - this will encourage others to stop talking, and will bring the attention to the chef. Overall, it wasn't worth the cost.
Stunning Food
This place is special and perfect for a celebration. You’re taken through an exceptional culinary experience by the chefs who prepare the dishes in front of you. It’s really interactive so you have chance to ask them any question you want. My only criticisms are: 1) that this was the second time I’ve been and the menu was virtually the same as it was back in 2019 and 2) it felt quite a rushed service as plates were being removed from in front of us whilst we were still chewing.
Too much show and not enough thought
I can understand why people get excited about this restaurant. the service is impeccable. The dishes are beautiful and some of them very creative. Most of them are very tasty. However, there is no real concept behind the menu. Too many deserts and even some of the dishes that need to be savory are a bit too sweet. The tasting menu is very expensive also due to the expensive ingredients that are used repeatedly; 2 courses with caviar, 3 courses with fois gras, 2 courses with truffles. Another problem is that they rush you with the food. They don't allow enough time to not only enjoy the food, but also discuss it and analyze it. Chris, the sommelier is very professional and one of the highlights of the evening. Like many things in Vegas, the show is more important than the content, which is a shame. After eating in other great restaurants in the world, the experience at e was a bit disappointing.
e' Z to Love
We've had some amazing tasting menus over the years and this one was excellent as well. A lot of very creative cooking techniques and textural surprises while you sit in an intimate setting and watch the chefs prepare everything. We did the wine pairings and the sommelier was very good in his selections and information about the wines. Usually it's only 8 people per sitting but we had only two other couples...one a very nice couple who had been there before and the other couple...not sure why they even came. The husband was drunk...gobbled down every course in one bite before even listening to the inspiration/ingredients etc. then made a face or negative comment. His wife was so embarrassed she got up and left with him halfway through. My only negative thought is 21 courses is 4-5 too many and there were too many sweet bites at the end of the dinner. A little editing on the sweet courses would be a good touch. Otherwise a really great experience.
Wonderful Culinary Experience.
Still one of the best dining experiences out there. Quality of food and friendly and attentive staff are second to none. It is so hard to get a ticket when they only seat 9. Coming from the East Coast, we plan well in advance. They were able to accommodate a person with Celiac as well as another food allergy. Wine Som is knowledgeable and engaging. The only criticism is that the menu does not vary much. Two of our party of 4 had dined there approximately three years ago. Out of the 20+/- dishes which were served, only 3 to 4 were different. We were told that Chef only changes a dish when he finds something better to replace it with. While that may be true, a little more variety would make being a repeat diner more interesting. For the two of our party who were first timers at E, they thought it was one of the best dining experience they ever had.
Foodie Heaven
This place provided an amazing experience! This little back room in the back of Jaleo (both are owned by the José Andrés Group) seats 12 (maybe 14, I think?) people per seating. When you arrive, they will have you wait at a table and you have the opportunity to order a cocktail (such as one of their excellent gin and tonics). You can chat with your dinner mates as you wait for everyone to arrive. You are then escorted to the room and sat down at bar-style seating surrounding the area where the chefs will prepare your plates in front of you. We opted to get the Spanish wines pairing to go with the food. All in all, there was maybe a dozen small courses - each more fascinating than the next. We had a little fish, a little meat, and some creations that were unheard of (like the tiny PB&J-tasting snacks that were fluffy and made with some crazy "molecular gastronomy" - we even had frozen sangria that looked like Dippin' Dots!). Each plate was a surprise and the chefs were friendly and great about answering questions about the food and how they came up with these things. The whole evening was delightful and, between the food and the wine, I was absolutely full (those little plates add up). Getting a reservation can be difficult - we requested ours through the AmEx concierge service in advance and they were able to get us one. You will spend $$$, but it will be one of the most fun restaurant experiences of your life.
Expensive but worth it
When planning our trip to Las Vegas we knew we wanted to do a tasting menu. The list was narrowed down to the restaurants bearing the name of Jose Andres or Joel Robuchon. Jose won out and we were not disappointed at e by Jose Andres. We had reservations for the 8:30 seating. We were taken to a table to wait for the rest of the people with reservations. This is where we were given our golden tickets. The staff was very attentive from the moment we arrived. They also did a great job of contacting you by email about a week prior to check for food allergies and to ask if any special occasions were being celebrated. We were given our choice of water (still or sparkling) and a glass of wine while we waited. Once everyone arrived we were ushered to our private dining room, that seats nine. The food was unbelievable. We tried counting the courses but become so engrossed in the food that we lost count. The staff was engaging. They explained what we were eating, how to eat it, and answered any questions. Everything is paid for in advance so there is no bill at the end unless you add the wine pairing or order drinks from the menu. A variety of gin and tonic drinks are offered as Mr. Andres has an affinity for a good gin and tonic. A person seating next to me ordered one and said it was the best gin and tonic ever. My advice to getting a reservation is to sign up for email notifications when reservation dates are released three months in advance. If you plan on dining alone, you may be able to get a last minute reservation This is how one of the persons got a reservation.
Do Not Miss This Opportunity
We do not need to say much here. Get here, go here and enjoy the magic that is this experience. Words cannot explain it at all. You must experience the magic, vision and perfection that this is. A bit odd when you first check in and are seated in a main area outside the restaurant. But, everything changes very soon as you are escorted into your private experience. It is not explainable. It took five years of trying to book this and we finally did enjoy it. If you have the means, do not miss the opportunity.
Yum
Outstanding experience, assuming you like this sort of thing. We had the wine flight…highly recommend as the sommelier provides extensive interesting intros to each wine to the group, so if you don’t partake you may feel left out. The wines were an excellent accompaniment to the meal.
Fantastic meal, even better service!
Amazing meal and fantastic service. This was definitely a top 10 dining experience. Wine pairings were perfect and every bite was delicious!
Bucket List DONE!
Started slow but Dutsin got the show going. Alex the head chef and his "crew" were off the chart! Now understand that this is a 700 to almost a grand dinner. But the show and the flavors are so unbelievably fabulous. It really is like a food concert. Put it on the bucket list and move on. Chef Andres would be proud.
Spectacular
What an amazing experience. From start to finish we were treated like royalty and the food was over the top (pricey…but totally worth it). We ate here once before and it was equally amazing. Highly recommend this experience
