Very good

4/5 by 👻 @yusufyaran on 08/25/2025

Tried on 7 Aug 2025 around noon. Had some stuff done in and bought some as take away. I had croissant plain, cappuccino, french toast, hot chocolate drink, kouign Amman as dine in. Also bought dark chocolate cookie , veggies focaccia with buratta, and crème brûlée tart as take away. Croissant was really really good. Very well done. The dry butter was in good generously used. Texture was perfect , it was feuillete, flaky, nicely brushed. For me it’s the Second best croissant in singapore (after Maison Boulud). French toast was weird . I liked the pecan crème - sauce was it was nothing like French toast. Also I did not think it was great to put filling to Kouign aman. Cappuccino and hot chocolate was very good Focaccia was superb , crème brûlée was extra ordinary , chocolate Cookie was great.

Expensive & underwhelming

3/5 by 👻 @Mytrips on 07/19/2025

Great ambience. The sandwiches and desserts for the high tea was at best average. The desserts looked much better that tasted. The desserts were one note - mostly consisted of vanilla cream with different fillings. Service was average for a high end restaurant. Not impressed especially for S$95/person price tag

I was hoping for a good Croissant experience…🫠

2/5 by 👻 @Nick Goh on 12/25/2024

I have tried croissants from La Maison d’Isabelle (in Paris) and I was so disappointed when I had my first Cedric Grolet croissant 😑 It turns out I am not the only one (refer to Joshua Weissman’s “I Tried The Best Croissants in The World (it was really in Paris)”. The aroma and buttery taste of the Cedric Grolet croissant in Singapore were, in my opinion, very underwhelming compared to the ones I had when I was in Paris. I thought it was because of the quality butter in Singapore. But after watching Weissman’s vid on YouTube it appears to be a common issue in Paris too. Anyhow, it would be good to know why the taste was so unexciting. If it’s better now, I would love to give it another try.

Pastry heaven

5/5 by 👻 @reesie2018 on 11/27/2024

My friend and i were in seventh heaven at this delicious eatery, no waiting . Floor staff were attentive although a little too quick to whip away our plates . We ordered coffee which was good and 3 pastries to share ; a croissant , Flan Gula Melaka, Kougin Anman. it takes skill to make pastries like these and at times we could not speak as we savoured every bite . There was a team member ( around the counter ) who was happy to discuss and advise and generous with her time ( I did not catch her name) the decor is sleek and modern with funky crockery . Its expensive but worth it . what a treat

Take away breakfast

3/5 by 👻 @Ninz82 on 10/15/2024

Hi end patisserie, a croissont starts from S$10. We did take away cause if you dine in it will cost around S$80-ish, and we considered that not worth it at all for breakfast. We ordered the plain croissont, if you eat it immediately it is flaky and buttery, however if it's eaten hours later it'll become soggy and just like a dull piece of bread. The other signature pastries are also pricy, I think above S$20. So, it depends on what your looking for. For us it was just a one time experience, and would not consider doing it again

Disappointed, bad service, great food.

3/5 by 👻 @J & D on 08/19/2024

It wasn’t a great experience, especially for the price we paid. Le maître d’hôtel never said hi to our group of 6. He kept talking to a French lady on our left and to rich customers on our right. And to add to the bad experience, the waitresses were not smiling at all. Sadly, we follow Cedric on YouTube for a while and we came all the way from Canada to eat his amazing food, but they gave us a very bad experience. The special fruit cakes were delicious and the highlight of our meal — we tried the ones that look like real peaches, coconuts and strawberries. They are $28 each and each one is about 4 bites. Pricey, but at least they were unique and yummy. Can’t say the same unfortunately for many of the other items. The croissants were good, but not as good as you’d hope considering the hype. The drinks (hot chocolate, chai tea latte, juices) as well were nothing special. The orange juice was actually bad, which is sad considering the price. And the strawberry tart was extremely overpriced at $77 for a small tart. The staff were not nice at all for a $700 price tag. Disappointed.

Great croissants, meh everything else

3/5 by 👻 @Lucia on 05/04/2024

Croissants are by far the best we have ever had. But the rave review ends here. Service: it appears that staff doesn’t get trained consistently and thus doesn’t really know what is on offer. We asked for the available pastries and were blandly told about ‘kouign amann, pain au chocolat and almond croissant’. Pain suisse, cinnamon bun and some two other items weren’t even mentioned and we only saw them when we took a look at the semi open kitchen/prep area. The almond croissant they mentioned was in kouglof shape with crunchy caramelised sliced almonds on the outside and had it been described as such we would have been intrigued. Other tables may have had better service - we saw that another table had an extended greeting from the male host and we were left wondering if families with children are just not valued as guests. Had he come over (which with only about a dozen tables shouldn’t have been hard) we would have provided feedback which now just ends up written on TA. Food: while the croissant is perfect in its technical execution it would be even more enjoyable if it was served warm. Same for all other pastries. Also, the pain au chocolat could have a second chocolate baton inside, a singular piece is just too little for lavour make it stand out from the plain croissant. Kouign Amann was too heavy, stodgy and dense for our taste, not as elegant and weightless as the other pastries we tried, but taste is subjective and others might enjoy this mightier pastry. Drinks: the coffee is average and one could elevate the experience by having different roasts available to choose from.

Posh cute place at the lobby of Como Metropolitan

5/5 by 👻 @ystribute on 03/12/2024

Cedric Grolet is at the lobby of Como Metropolitan Hotel where we stayed at. Chick, modern, and serves unique cakes. Reservation is recommended to assure you get table since the establishment is not that big. But buying for take-away is always accepted. All staff are friendly and knowledgable about the items they sell. It was an amazing experience and we will definitely go back when we visit Singapore again.

Service was awful.

1/5 by 👻 @traceeme on 02/11/2024

Overpriced for its ridiculous service. Went twice. First time was decent. 2nd time was today and it was outrageously awful. They don’t have enough Glassware to serve me water! Service was slow. Sat down at 10:40am with my girls already there. Had to follow up my order of hot drink at 11ish. I asked for water and they never got me one. I followed up, and girl said “the reason why we have not served you water is cos we don’t have anymore glass!”What none sense! i replied straight back “that’s ridiculous!” I said i don’t mind any kind of glass or cup you serve water on, someone suggested take away cup and I said I don't mind. And they did serve me with take away cup even though they have cleared glasses! They have few tables with enough staff, and we already have pre paid set and most tables do. Why is anticipating how much cutlery, crockery and glassware so hard to organise? So disappointing for a place that charges that much has not enough glassware. :/ Honestly, the croissant’s good, specially in asia, coffee is decent but not worth paying that money with that kind of service. And it’s not even that much money.

Wonderful Pastries And Service

5/5 by 👻 @rc33 on 12/28/2023

Located within the Como Singapore on the ground floor. I came here for some takeaway and thought it would be busy however when I walked in, it wasn’t busy at all (at least for takeaway) but the tables for dine in seemed taken. It was earlier in the morning so that may have made a difference. The service is very friendly and I ordered a takeaway Mocha. There were no prices for the drinks so was surprised the coffee (only one size) was more expensive than the Parisian Flan. The layers of pastry were exquisite and one of the nicest and most decadent ‘custard tarts’ I had eaten. It was so flaky and the custard filling was creamy and delicious. The Mocha was nice but not sure I’d order it again based on price. Very glad I tried this patisserie and would recommend a try here.

Good food, bad service

3/5 by 👻 @Toni Y. on 12/02/2023

Went in for breakfast. Food was quite good, but pricey. I could tell it was made well. Service was bad. Food was not served at the same time, orders got mixed up etc. Honestly, better to just get take out.

Cedric Gro-Let Down

1/5 by 👻 @IM on 11/02/2023

I visited the Singapore branch recently. I would have imagined that after a couple of months, the service would be befitting for a restaurant of this caliber. However, it was anything but… The first staff who approached us was incredibly blunt. While we did not have a reservation, he said, “if you don’t have a reservation, you can take out and eat it outside.” What the hell, dude!! Then another suited employee treated us as though we were trying to get entrance into some exclusive club. Yes, it’s popular, Instagramable (if that’s your thing), etc., but seriously, we asked simple questions like, “How long do you hold reserved tables for if the guest doesn’t show up?” No reply! “How long do you think we should wait until we can get a table?” No reply! “Can we speak to someone who can help us?” No reply! Like seriously, it’s fine to wait knowing we don’t have a reservation, but at least communicate with your customers, especially if you are trying to create an impression! Finally, we conceded and decided to take out. We were ‘greeted’ by two staff members who had zero personality. Even trying to make conversation, it was just no hope! Unfriendly and disinterested in us! Overall, the coffee was meh (they got the order wrong), croissant was decent, but the service was absolutely appalling! Waste of time and money, and I think they have a loooooong way to go in Singapore before they will see my money again. Too much bling bling but no personality! 0/10

Over hyped dessert, not worth the price paid

2/5 by 👻 @Tze Haw Lo on 10/21/2023

Tried their tea set and found it to be just okay, and it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. The taste didn’t match the high price tag, and I left feeling underwhelmed. While it might be a popular spot, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Cederic & Rolet not worth at all

3/5 by 👻 @jacky n on 10/15/2023

Decided to try out their hazelnut tart to see if it’s worth 26$. My verdict is ‘NO’. It tastes not bad but definitely not at 26$ price. There are more better tarts at more reasonable price. Also, one minus point is that staff is not able to explain the tart well. For 26$ tart, can u just tell customer that ‘oh it’s just hazelnut cream inside’. I was like WTH….

Long queue, overpriced and horrific attitude

1/5 by 👻 @conscienciouseater on 09/30/2023

Singaporeans love standing in line for new stuff, so the queue is frustratingly long. What makes it worse is snobbish staff with a bad attitude, treating customers without respect. But Singaporeans are not stupid, and they have a memory. Overpriced, poor service eateries quickly become deserts, like Luke’s lobster rolls at Shaw’s. At least, they serve lobster there. Here it’s only flour and sugar!

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Cédric Grolet Singapore at 6 PM the same day.

He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Cédric Grolet Singapore page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FulfilledThread16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FulfilledThread16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at Cédric Grolet Singapore to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FulfilledThread16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FulfilledThread16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Cédric Grolet Singapore!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
