Substandard service Rude staff Not recommended sadly The food is actually good but the service let the restaurant down
Racist staff
RACIST STAFF. Muslims. We booked a table for 4 waaay in advance of the day of the reservation. We came in, asked if we could add one more person and they said ok in the most condescending manner( and then they proceeded to let us sit at the very very back of the restaurant behind a curtain. When we said then, please sit us at the table for 4 (which we had initially booked for as the 5th person wasn’t sure of coming) they still asked us to sit at the SAME table that seats not 4, not 5, but 7 or 8 people! The manager bragged to say that he could fit as much as 12 people on that table. But when we asked for a table that seats 4 at the front where we can just push one chair, he says no it’s JUST for 4. The manager bragged about having a Lebanese wife, and that he’d never be racist, but us wearing the scarves is probably what took the punch there cuz the whole scenario just didn’t make any sense to us. Absolutely racist staff. Even the lady at the entrance when we asked for one more person, she had a condescending manner to her tone. Go somewhere else where you’re treated with respect. Please.
Great location, good and expensive meals.
This was our second visit to Gaia and we couldn't wait to return after our first lunch there a couple of years ago. Service is excellent and staff is very nice. This second lunch didn't provide us with the 'wow' we had previously. Food was delicious but not extraordinary. Portions are large and we could have ordered about half of what we did. Atmosphere is lovely and very upscale. Be prepared to spend a lot, especially if you are having wine with your meal.
A well situated good restaurant very close to Casino Square
What a lovely well located restaurant with an entrance covered in brightly coloured bougainvillea. We arrived a little before the 19.00 and walked in on everyone having a meeting but they we very nice and asked us to wait. Once they let us in we walked passed a very large ice bed of fresh seafood some of which were so fresh they were reaching out to be rescued . We were given a lovely quiet table in the corner and service was quietly efficient. My friend asked for a cocktail not on the menu and they had no problem in producing it . Our meal of meat balls , prawn saganaki , sole and calamari - all beautifully cooked especially as prawn and calamari are very sensitive and sole can dry out. This is definitely a restaurant we will visit again .
Best restaurant in Monaco!
Contrary to others reviews below - we had the most exceptional experience at Gaia MC. The service was friendly, well executed and never felt rushed. From the point of booking to paying the final bill, everything was spot on! The food is to die for!! We overordered, but the menu is so incredible and delicious that it is hard not to! The oysters were the best I've ever had! I will absolutely not hesitate to return next time I am in Monaco.
Average
Expected more as the restaurant was hyped up by my friend. Food was good but nothing amazing. Service was good. Ambiance good. But honestly, nothing amazing.

Gaia marballa It was the first time in my life that I met such an unprofessional general manager. who tells us that we have to go because the time has passed. She didn't even let us order desserts at the table, she just asked us to pay. I understand that the table is for 2 hours, but this was the first time I encountered such unprofessional and rude behavior. maybe your manager previously had experience in fast food.
Appalling
Appalling …. Lousy Service, simply, the most overpriced food I have ever had the misfortune to be presented with. €250 for a grilled dory which was not done properly and then scallops which were overcooked. Given that the bill was over €650. I think demanding that the €35 scallops were taken off. The bill was reasonable. However, the pompous maître’d wanted to argue about it. The service was nothing special. Compared to say Maya Bay, it is awful. It’s the third time now that I have had the misfortune to eat there, and on each occasion, it has been a disaster. Could not recommend to anybody.
Not worth it
Sat down at 8 pm Next to a dog. When asked to be moved we were told no. There were other open tables but again we were told flat out no. In the defense of the dog, he was well behaved but I didn’t anticipate eating dinner with a dog who was literally a few inches from me. We were rushed through the dinner and was handed the check promptly at 8:55. Food was very good but we didn’t enjoy the evening due to feeling rushed and the furry friend
Connect with users posting reservations for Gaia Monaco
AppointmentTrader is a community-driven platform where users can exchange their reservations or leverage their personal relationships with Gaia Monaco. Buyers can make informed decisions using automated seller ratings, which reflect past transactions and reliability.
Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience
the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.
If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Gaia Monaco at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Gaia Monaco page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ImmortalStep65, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ImmortalStep65 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ImmortalStep65 for any questions Peter may have as ImmortalStep65 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ImmortalStep65 now uses their connections at Gaia Monaco to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ImmortalStep65 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ImmortalStep65 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ImmortalStep65's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Gaia Monaco!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
