The atmosphere was so romantic yet also very cozy for a large group. The staff were friendly and I love their knowledge in the menu for the recommendations. The food was amazing and in decent portions. I can't wait to come back again to try other items on their menu.
Overall incredible food and service.
One of the best meals I've had in months. Ate on the street with amazing views of passing dogs. Highly recommend
Solid Greek establishment with nice decor.
We were very fortunate to walk-in ~11:45 and immediately get seated at a table, albeit only for 45 mins until 12:30. We got the Htipti, Lalagites, Gyro Benedict, and Souvla. The Htipti (a dip in the Dips item on the menu that we got a la carte for $6) was a spicy pepper whipped feta that was not enjoyable unfortunately: it was quite sour and felt like eating chunks of cheese. The Lalagites were tasty, similar to beignets or chinese fried mantou. The Benedict was our fav, a unique fusion take on a benedict with flavorful morsels of chicken. The Souvla tasted good but could have used more lamb for the $42 market price... Also, the pita bread in both mains were dry and a bit hard to chew. As the time neared 12:30, we appreciated how they gave us an extra 20 mins to finish eating. FYI: Feast of the Goddesses is one of everything on the menu, good for 5-10 people. Will def try that sometime!
Everything is delicious.
Restaurant is a little loud. Make a reservation well in advance!

Herrel and our server were great! They were super accommodating of my allergies and told me which items on the menu were vegetarian. We especially liked the melitzanosalata eggplant and tiropita rolls. I can't wait to go back, especially since the menu changes.

Really solid meal, the bread - excellent, artichoke - a little too much bread, a little too much cheese, the oso buco was as it should be, solid experience. I would go back and try other things, solid ambiance and service.
It's no wonder why it's so difficult to get a reservation
It's no wonder why it's so difficult to get a reservation here. I saw so many intriguing items on the menu I wanted to order. The wine list, which is exclusively Greek wines, is an education in itself. Our dishes arrived promptly, were beautifully presented, and were generous and delicious. In addition to all this, service was outstanding. The staff patiently answered our questions, replaced the water when necessary, replaced my wine when a small insect flew in the glass, and were available from the start to finish of the meal. I didn't get everyone's name, but I want to give a particular shout out to Jorge. This was a birthday celebration, but I hope not to wait for another birthday to return.
Amazing! One of the best meals we've had.
Amazing Mediterranean food in a behind gorgeous setting. We sat outside and each course was even better than the last. Awesome tzatziki, feta, salads and more. The chicken spices were perfect. And the orange cake with halva ice cream was perfect. Some of the most attentive and kind staff we've encountered. Huge thank you to our server Jorge who treated us like family and knew every item on the menu to help us.
Was really excited to try Krasi and have heard about how it
Was really excited to try Krasi and have heard about how it can be a tough reservation to get- but unfortunately the food itself fell a bit short of our expectations. The ambience of the restaurant is lively and cozy and the service was also great, but the actual dishes were a bit lackluster and pricey. Tried the famous tiropita rolls and felt they were a bit heavy/oily, tableside tzatziki, xtapodi/octopus, and souvla. The dishes were okay, but felt that they were lacking some flavor/zest and I found myself wanting sauce to add some spice. Not sure if I would come back, but it is a cute spot for a date night or girls night! Food: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5

Got a brunch reservation and it took much longer to get seated. It's very cramped inside. It was claustrophobic levels of cramped. The food overall was meh. The white wine pitcher was great and the Solomo was absolutely amazing but the gyro Benedict was completely unseasoned to an unreasonable amount and tsoureki was just fried bread. I hope the dinner is substantially better.
OK option for Brunch
Bruch was OK, but after read the overly positive reviews I was expecting much more... We had the Greek yogurt to start which was quite good and the best mimosa I had in a very long time.... I had the Patate which was quite good, but my partner had the Slouvaki Benedict which was bland and even disappointing (overcooked chicken, not enough sauce, stale pitta). I guess dinner options are better?
5โญ๏ธ Experience
5โญ๏ธ Experience. A friend from Greece recommended Krasi as Bostonโs most authentic Greek food. Now we know why reservations are so hard to score: truly outstanding food, prices, atmosphere & service. Our server Maria patiently explained the menu; itโs built for sharing. She & manager Harel offered thoughtful suggestions. We loved each dish: >Melitzanosalata [charred eggplant dip, basically Greek version of Baba Ghanoush] Ordered some extra perfectly warmed pita bread to finish it. >Pitaroudes [chickpea & onion fritters] >Gkogkes [hand-rolled olive oil pasta, snap peas, garlic scapes, mint, grated mizithra] This and the bourdeto were my favorites, closely followed by the halva ice cream. >Garides [grilled shrimp, Santorini fava, caper butter, fava bean salad] >Bourdeto: Red Snapper was the fresh catch in a spicy tomato broth they cooked to perfection overnight. Amazingly flavorful. For dessert we had Flogeres: two phyllo rolls, almond filling with halva [black sesame] ice cream Given the food, service, atmosphere, the bill was surprisingly reasonable even with a 30% well-earned tip. Weโll be back
Really good food, nice atmosphere, small portions for the price.
The food was VERY good! We ate outside which was noisy. The inside looks like a better choice, if you can get seated. Our server was super nice and knowledgeable. The reason for 4 stars and not 5: The eggplant dip came with 3 LITTLE toasted pieces of bread, which were ok, but there were four of us at the table. We asked if we could have more pita/bread. Three more LITTLE pieces came and the charge on the bill was $3.00. The restaurant is priced high to begin with, and I thought this was unreasonable. My other negative would be that the house wine by the glass are expensive, $16... for house red. Overall, it is a good place.
Friendly staff with mediocre food
Friendly staff, Mediocre food โฆsmoked cheese plate was average at best. Fig jam was nothing special. Meatballs were just ok ( portion size was small) Did not try wine โฆGreek Beer (brand name Fix) was awful..,
A good chance to taste out of the ordinary Greek specialties in a pleasant, though typically noisy atmosphere
This is a good bet for discovering Greek home cooking you may never have eaten. We liked every dish. The decor is modern and pleasing and aesthetic. The service was friendly and efficient. The noise level was.....like everywhere else in big cities, meaning, real noisy! Very interesting Greek wines by bottle and glass. Wine prices seem reasonable, especially the dessert wines.
True Greek taste overseas
Excellent ingredients, true Greek tastes, very good selection of spirits combined with a very nice atmosphere and friendly service.
Very Good We Loved It
First time visit. We stopped in for a brunch. We had four small plates and they were all delicious. We had never seen dishes like these before and thoroughly enjoyed them.
Great food and ambiance.
Nice to sit by the bar to see how things are cooked. Also nice to learn about the Greek cuisine
Overall it's not bad and yet, not good.
Service is lacking (server is lovely - perhaps in weeds though) the table we're sitting at is way too small for 3 people which is right by the door and behind the host stand (??????); when you consider that the reservation was made a month in advance? Not ideal. Food is again not bad but utterly unremarkable. Perhaps an off night for the team? Or internet over-hype?
Krasi is absolutely worth all the hype!! My partner and I
Krasi is absolutely worth all the hype!! My partner and I came for an anniversary dinner and had the loveliest time. If you're like us and couldn't get a dinner reservation ahead of time, I recommend getting there right at opening to put your name in (or just take an early 5pm walk-in dinner like we did). If you order one thing on the whole menu, make sure it's the tiropita rolls - they came out warm and fresh, and the butter served with it was divine. We enjoyed everything we ate, and for the high quality of the food and experience, everything was very fairly priced. Have to give a special shoutout to Jorge as well for his top-tier service and friendly personality. Will absolutely be back soon!
Pork Souvla was amazing! The fish (sea bream) was delicious
Pork Souvla was amazing! The fish (sea bream) was delicious and well cooked. The bar seating is a little tight, but the food made up for it. My only complaint is a guy who came in, had at least two glasses of wine, and kept yelling things, like "handsome guy coming through." I don't think it's a reflection on the restaurant but it was strange.
I finally made it to Krasi.
I'm a huge fan of Greek food and it was always on the bucket list. It's necessary to book way in advance btw. The pictures look somewhat sterile, but in fact it is a lively place (although the noise level was ok and didn't impact our conversation). Service was knowledgeable and excellent. Our waiter had a number of tables and was busy, but never hectic. The food: they serve meze style, meaning you order 8-10 dishes for the 5 people we had in our party. Food was excellent and not your typical greek food (e.g. no gyro). Upscale, but Greek. White wine was from Santorini and a good match. They also have an extensive selection of Uzo. Great evening we will remember and will go again!

So so so so good! My friends and I came here for my birthday brunch, and this Mediterranean hot-spot really lived up to its hype! All of the food was stunning & tasted oh so good too! Their Greek french toast changed all of our lives for the better. The drinks were also catered to the theme of the restaurant. Although skeptical of dill in my mimosa, I really liked it! 10/10 for brunch! I would definitely go back for their dinner menu too!

Krasi should be your next brunch stop in Back Bay! I've wanted to try Krasi for a while and I'm glad I snagged a reservation for the bar area. The restaurant is cute and cozy, with some outdoor seating as well. We split the solomo, lalagites, and patates for brunch. Highly recommend getting the patates and lalagites from these options! The lalagites were super light and the perfect amount of sweet. The patates were fried to perfection with a delicious yogurt dip. The solomo plate was good too but the bread with it was a bit dry. Everyone at the restaurant was super attentive and friendly and all our food came out so quickly. Definitely book a reservation if you're looking for an amazing brunch experience!
Absolutely perfect night.
Each dish better than the next, especially loved the snap peas, risotto and lamb shank. Menu suggestions by our stellar waiter,Jorge, were superb as was his wine guidance. Between food, service and price, by far the best meal we've had in Boston

First time in Boston and had a wonderful night at Krasi! What a treat.... The food was delicious. The service was good. We would definitely come back to try all the items on the menu. Loved the Tselepos white wine from Santorini.

Excellent service! They were able to squeeze us in late after a long travel day, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Staff made us feel comfortable and not rushed at all. The food was delicious, I am a vegetarian and they had a menu ready for me with unique options. It had a cozy elevated wine bar feel that we could sit and enjoy for hours. They had a great eye for detail with beautiful plating and decor.
Well worth the visit!
We had just arrived in Boston and stumbled on this restaurant. Found a table outside, super kind service. No problems to share. Food was delicious! Love Greek food!
Thanks Jimmy
We couldnโt get a table until 8:30 so took a chance and walked in at 7 in hope of a seat. The receptionist found us seats at the bar which worked out perfectly, we had great service from Jimmy, good recommendation on the food and very friendly. They have a very cool bar underneath but sadly it was closed on the night we went.
Amazing food and atmosphere!!!
If you are looking for a great place with great ambiance, this is it. The food was amazing- order the Taziki and bread, it was made right at the table!

I've heard great things and it's really hard to snag a reservation in the 6-7pm window (had to book a month in advance). You can book through OpenTable so it is convenient from a technology standpoint. the high lights, the service was excellent. our server was friendly, helpful, patient and knowledgable. She answered our many questions and provided great recommendations, particularly the wine. lots of great greek wine, so much so there were orders of wine all around the host station. had we known the feast of the gods was the entire right side of the menu, we would've made a bigger reservation. Since we didn't have enough folks to take the feast of the gods we had to order al a carte. We started with the charcuterie with the beef and wild boar. Both were good, not overly salty but not overly powerful or pungent. We also ordered the tarmosalta which was solid, the star were the chips. Omg, the tiropita rolls were the best! I don't like bread and I could had 3 by myself. It was fresh and warm and fun to pull apart. We skipped the greens and went straight to seafood and meats. The bourdetto was easily the best dish we had the entire evening. The brother was delicious, although there were a few bones and scales. The octopus dish was our least favorite. The octopus was overpowered by the tomato sauce and parts of the pasta were undercooked. For the meat dishes, the moussaka was solid, but were outshined by the lamb and quail dishes. The quail was cooked perfectly, something I'd revisit. The lamb was tender and took on the stewed tomato flavor over a bed of orzo. Everyone enjoyed the dessert, the baklava had a nice presentation. Will come again and try the grilled seabream. We took it off because we ordered so much, but next time we'll swap something else out for it.

The brunch items at Krasi are too good, especially the sweet ones. I would recommend sitting outside on a warm summer day and enjoying brunch here. The wait times are usually high but for a smaller party, you can wing it (which is what I did for the 3-4 times I went). All in all, one of the most wholesome food places near Newbury, which is otherwise inundated by tourist traps.
Good food and service.
The variety of food is both full and interesting. The drink menu is interesting. Lots of exotic selections.
Dips: The best thing we had.
The sourdough was good, but the dips were really the star of the show. Taramosalata was my favorite. It is so freaking umami and exploding with flavor and creamy. The htipiti (spicy feta) and tzatziki were also delicious. I was spooning up every last bit of those dips even after the bread was gone. Rizogalo: Very nice dish to round things out. The sweetness level is perfect - not too sweet at all, allowing the flavors from the whole dish to come together. Sfougato: This was pretty good, but I think I would rather try something else next time. Our server recommended 2-4 dishes and we got 3, which left us pretty dang full. Service was okay - our servers were terse and hurried.

We went here for the brunch: vibe was great, the service was good and the food was pretty decent. The souvla was kind of salty for my taste. The olive oil cake was good, a little too sweet. Lalagites were crispy and fluffy. My favorite was probably the quiche. Would love to try the dinner!

Our party of 8 sat in back for brunch and ordered many of the items in the back. first of all the coffee service is so adorable with server coming out with a tray and serving in cute mugs. Everything we ordered was presented well and tasted amazing , We really liked the lemon potatoes with yogurt, carrot with sesame encrusted feta, and the olive oil cake. Service was great Ambiance nice . Would definitely return!
ONCE IN A LIFETIME, ONE DISCOVERS THE PERFECT GREEK RESTAURANT ... WE DID IN BOSTON'S BACK BAY!
We were warmly welcome and seated in a prime table at this high popular spot. We never expected the level of service we experienced here. Our servers (there were several) were all highly attuned to your palate and service expectations and they exceeded all expectations. We ordered the charcuterie board, the (patron-mixed) tzatziki (what an experience!). We had the tiropita rolls (luscious); the NERANTZOSALATA blood orange, kale, fennel, Brussels sprouts toursi, crispy farro, Kalamata olive vinaigrette (divine), MOUSSAKA braised shortrib, eggplant, mizithra bechamel, potato chips and ORTIKI grilled herb marinated quail, melted leeks, red wine stewed prunes. The service was absolutely superb, the food was heavenly and the entire experience left us feeling like we never wanted to leave. This is an experience, not just dinner. Aa we were near the door, we must have experienced at least a dozen couples seeking tables, but the restaurant was beyond full of happy and highly satisfied diners. We have visited Greece 17 times in the past 15 years; we have never had a meal so divine as this in Greece ... bringing the essence of Greek cultural and gastronomy here is what the owners of this restaurant do quite artfully! There is not another restaurant in Boston that can match this experience! We cannot wait to return! Chris, the restaurant manager, looked after us very well as did the other two wonderful folks who served our table, making our culinary and gustatory experiences incomparable!

I unknowingly booked my engagement brunch here and it was the best decision. I came across this restaurant after seeing their previous chef Valentine Howell get recognized for Best Chef Northeast with James Beard. Being from TN and always trying to venture out food wise I was curious to see how Greek food would be done in a brunch menu. We booked the reservation via OpenTable. Because we got engaged unexpectedly to me, we took a a few photos and we were running about 5 minutes behind so I messaged the restaurant directly on open table and told them about our exciting news and they were so kind and told us no problem at all. When we arrived they congratulated us, sat us down and brought out complimentary champagne to welcome us and shower us with care on our big day. We can't thank the staff enough for helping make our day so special. We decided among the 4 of us that we would order tapas style so we could try a bit of everything. We started with the dips trio. The first dip was almost like a spicy feta dip which was my personal favorite, followed by a great tzatziki and last but not least the taramasalata which was so silky and divine. The dips trio is a great appetizer for the table. We then had the Souvla and the couple we were with had never had lamb but we all agreed we could eat a whole plate ourselves. It was very tender and full of flavor. Next we ordered Avga Me Potatoes, the almost haystack of potatoes was such a great textural element against the luscious goat cheese cream. This was my personal favorite dish! We ended the meal with the Tsoureki. As a lover of everything sweet this was the perfect final dish for our meal. I could not get enough. The French toast was so light and paired perfectly with the maple whipped cream and the textural elements of the kataifi. The acid from the cranberry orange topping was the perfect cut of any heaviness you might feel from eating this. Our server was so friendly and attentive during our entire visit. The restaurant is very stylish but inviting all at the same time. It really had a fun relaxed and romantic atmosphere so this would be a great restaurant for a variety of groups. Again I want to thank the staff that we met on February 19th for making our day so special. I travel frequently for work so the next time I'm in Boston I will definitely be back to have dinner with you all. 10/10 must dine here!

This place is an amazing place to come for a date and to have a nice dinner. The place is really clean and the staffs are really nice. We got the tzatziki sauce which we got to make it ourselves with the instruction given. The bread was also served with the sauce which went really well together. I really enjoyed the cheese bread which was crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. The octopus leg was really tender and was packed with flavor. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in Boston and I will definitely come visit again to try different food on the menu!
A delicious Greek-spot in Back Bay.
I made the reservation about 2 months in advance for a dinner reservation. What I will note, is that they have plenty of bar seating - if you arrive at opening (5PM/530PM), it seems like you can snag a spot quickly! The food was amazing - we shared everything tapas-style. The tzatziki dish was fun, they brought you all the ingredients to make yourself at the table. The rest of the food was incredibly flavorful. In addition, the wine list was expansive. We were served wine that was recommended by our waiter and it was great. Definitely a popular spot in Boston if you have interest in going! Parking is difficult in the area but you can ride share/take the T!
Great Greek addition to Boston!
Charming and delicious experience at krasi tonight. Our waiter was phenomenal and very knowledgeable about wine and food. I am Greek and had high expectations and they were certainly met. I went with a group of 4 friends and we literally ordered half the menu and enjoyed everything. Some highlights included the Manti squash fritters,,the cheese pie appetizer, and the lamb Osso Bucco. I would definitely return again.
Great food, great service ๐๐ฝ
We went there for brunch on Sunday. Great food! Perfectly spiced and grilled souvlaki, fresh salad, and outstanding fried dough! The delicious mimosa added a nice touch. Be sure to try the Greek coffee. Service is superb. We were greeted kindly, and the table service was attentive and not rushed. We are going back for dinner in a few weeks. Can't wait!
Very disappointed
We have been here before and had a delicious dinner hence why we visited again when we were in Boston. Our experience was disappointing as we found the food to be less flavourful than previously. Especially the osso bucco which should fall off the bone. We actually had to request a serrated knife for one of the larger pieces which was just plain tough. We explained this to one of the servers who checked in on us ( not the person who was our assigned server). His response was โexcellentโ! We had to explain this was not excellent and disappointing. We told him to speak to the equivalent of the maitre d. They never acknowledged with us. Wines are excellent and good atmosphere but we will not be back.
What a treat
What a yummy restaurant this was! Every dish we tried was delicious - from chicken souvla to scallops, from lamb to octopus. The outdoors patio is nice if you can get a table, though expect a wait even at late hours. Quite reasonably priced, especially for such an area.
Excellent Mediteranean Food
We passed by and chose to have dinner at this place. We were unsure of what to order and asked the waiter for suggestions. He recommended 8 different choices and even went back to out table informing of changes/updates to availablity of choices. It was served timely as we finished one course. We had a great time savoring the dishes. We will surely come back when in Boston.
Upscale rustic Greek
Itโs hard to get a reservation at Krasi, and we got very lucky walking in on a Thursday night and being seated right away. Beautiful renovation of the former Cafe Jaffa. The food is fabulous- everything we had was delicious- tiropita rolls stuffed with halloumi; lamb osso bucco, rotisserie chicken and the โpitaโ of the day (mushroom pie) and salata. We arenโt wine drinkers but they are known for their varied selection. The service was wonderful. If you can get in - go!
Magical experience
Each dish was a magical experience, elevating Greek food to unprecedented levels. Our server, Nadia, cheerfully and patiently guided our wine choices, and carefully accommodated our dietary restrictionsโa true professional. Highly recommended: Taramosalata with huge chunks of lobster meat, Kalamari with amazingly flavorful rice, Octopus Mortadella with powdered olive oil. Be brave and try a glass of the unusual โTear of the Pineโ retsinaโsurprisingly refreshing. Reserve a table well in advance since there is obviously an excellent reason why this restaurant is so beloved. Five exceedingly enthusiastic stars!
Great atmosphere, great food
What a place. The high ceilings create a fantastic ambience with great acoustics and the sound of happy customers. We opted for a range of mezze to begin with and being a table of five ordered more of the dishes we liked. All were delicious, served with a smile and washed down with a good bottle or two of Greek wine. Whatโs not to like.
Finally, a Boston restaurant with class
Just a wonderful experience from table to staff to wine to food. Delicious mezze dishes included salata, kopanisti, kalamari, and souvla (chicken). Did not stay for dessert but will definitely save some room next time.
