Absolutely love the food there! We were seated right away.
Once we went to the host. Immediately. They came out, asking what type of water that we wanted, and if we were ready to order drinks. The vibe was very moody and elegant. You can definitely pop in for a casual lunch, however, dinner is a little bit more nicely dressed.

My friends and family and I came here for dinner on our girls trip and the inside of the restaurant was beautiful. We had great service and the food was super fresh and delicious. I think the all across the board favorites were the tempura shrimp, Crispy Rice, and the Sweet Corn Agnolotti. For dessert, we couldn't decide between the tres leches and the Berries and Cream so we got both. The Berries and Cream was soooo refreshing and definitely a great end to a good meal and the tres leches was my absolute favoriteee!

Lala is a beautiful restaurant and the vibes are immaculate, but the food is overhyped and overpriced. To start, the crispy tuna rice was extra crispy--basically burnt--which made it hard to chew through. The tuna itself was good, but it wasn't enjoyable paired with the burnt rice. The shrimp tempura was just okay, but very oily. The focaccia bread was dense instead of being light and fluffy the way focaccia should be. The spicy vodka pasta had decent flavor, but I've definitely had better, and it was so spicy that it wasn't enjoyable. The best part of the meal was the coconut tres leches, but even then, it wasn't the best we had on the island. Overall, while the atmosphere is stunning, we spent over $200 on a mediocre meal that just wasn't worth it.

I along with many tourists visiting Puerto Rico for Bad Bunny's epic DTmF residency visited this restaurant because it is co-owned by him. It has a rustic yet modern decor with wooden cylinders from the ceiling apparently depicting the topography of Puerto Rico. The service is very courteous and attentive in the beginning, but then becomes more sporadic towards the middle and end. The cocktail menu is very interesting in theory, incorporating many inventive ingredients to represent Puerto Rican heritage but the execution is inconsistent. The 100x35 cocktail had very little actual drink in it, although the presentation was flashy. Standout menu items crafted with flavor and finesse included the hamachi sashimi al pastor with mezcal roasted pineapple, the dulce de lechoza y queso croquettes, the French onion escargot gratin with crunchy baguette, and the consommé with pork broth and shrimp mofongo. The swordfish schnitzel was tasty. The duck breast tasted gamey but was plated nicely with a beet purée. Overall overpriced but a strong representation of contemporary Puerto Rican cuisine.
Honestly, this was a completely underwhelming experience.
When we first arrived, we were greeted by two servers - cool. Subsequently, we ordered and received our drinks pretty quickly so that was good. Once we received our food, it was COLD. Two out of the three of us received cold food and made mention of it. We mentioned to the waitstaff and nothing was done or even offered to remedy that. Additionally, I had placed an order for spinach, which was forgotten about and when I mentioned it again, it was brought over to me, which was also cold. We spoke to the manager who wasn't apologetic and he offered us dessert, which at that point we were so turned off we were ready to leave. What a disappointment.
Lala is the Bad Bunny owned restaurant.
The service was the highlight for me honestly. They were attending to us like if we were at a Michelin restaurant. We got up and they adjusted our napkins and chair for when we returned. My hates off to the team! The design of the place is cool and modern. The only place where it didn't land for me was the food. While it wasn't bad by any means at all, it is quite the premium you are paying for some dishes that left a bit to be desired. The salmon was excellent but some of the appetizers we had felt like they should have been either more adventurous or just better tasting. We spent a lot and for the novel it was fun I would go again.

Reading the reviews I was expecting service to be slow, and it truly is. Not sure why because it was not crowed at all. Between us we all got something different. The A5 Wagyu was not good. It lacked flavor (usually this type of meat speaks for its self) but not in this case. Everything else was great! But for my first drink I was served half a drink and then the rest of my drinks came filled. Overall it was ok. I'm glad I tried it out but I won't be coming back . Especially not for a $700 bill

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience from beginning to end. I arrived 40 minutes early. I was told my reservation was for outside. I agreed to sit inside on what appeared to be the outskirts as it was a lower table that was off put to the side for just drinks or waiting to be seated. The wait staff did not make an effort to accommodate me and insisted that all the tables were reserved and I could not sit inside so off to the side I was sat while I was judged by waitstaff and onlookers alike. After 20 minutes of waiting for my menu I was given a drink menu and asked if I wanted to dine on the lower offset uncomfortable table I decided on just drinks I waited and waited. After my husband and I looked visibly upset by waiting the same two waitstaff that took forever to sit me passed right by us several times but would not take my order. After my husband and I were visibly upset after waiting 30 minutes for our now drink order another waiter took it upon himself to take our order we then waited another 25 minutes. We were so upset we decided to go because there was clearly no regard for our time, money or accommodation. We never got to taste any food although it looked dismal at best. On my way out I expressed that I was an artist and influencer and that I had high hopes to review the restaurant. The manager did nothing to accommodate or apologize for the lack of service. He reiterated that the tables were reserved I pointed out that I had now sat for about an hour with no service and the tables remained as empty as when I arrived. It was a complete let down. I had high hopes and was extremely disappointed it was going to be our last dinner before heading back to New York after visiting family. They seemed to only cater to the tourists and we were surprised by the lack of empathy shown in regard to the waiting period and lack of service. In addition all the tables that were empty were still empty when we exited which was a little over an hour later. As a person who visits high end five star restaurant all over the world save yourself the trouble. Do not go to this restaurant the food portions are tiny and the service was the worst I've ever had since I in fact got no service at all. Great atmosphere and food
Had the duck breast and cheese mashed potatoes. Excellent cook on the duck. Crispy skin. Medium rare. The beet puree and cherry wine sauce was a nice edition.
Not recommended
Definetly is a beautiful restaurant, the food is good but small amounts and highly cost. I know the chef has 3 Michelin I admire that, but paying 23 dollars for a beer is an assault, they should adjust prices…. Not even in the most expensive restaurants in Europe I have paid that….. beautifully decorated, but that’s not all for a restaurant…..

Disappointing
Disappointing Visited Lala yesterday to celebrate our 42nd Wedding anniversary. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation and were seated about 10 minutes after our 7:45pm reservation time. The physical appearance of the restaurant to be aesthetically pleasing. We were seated at our table for 30 minutes prior to meeting our server only after I inquired as to why we had not been approached by a server. My inquiry took place after I noticed that an adjacent table that was seated after us , had been served water, cocktails and an appetizer! Upon questioning our server, he stated that our table had not been assigned a server by the host. Our cocktails arrived 30 minutes later and our first appetizer arrived 30 minutes after that. The sashimi appetizer had 6 pieces of fish which were as thin as carpaccio, were not cold or fresh. I had to request wasabi which was not provided on presentation.. Extremely disappointed by the sashimi! Our second appetizer were the hamachi pastor which were very good. One of our two entrees, swordfish, was barely edible. It was tasteless and extremely dry without any sense of flavor. I notified the waiter and he acknowledged similar complaints from other patrons. He offered a complimentary dessert which as ok. Other than the ambience, the restaurant was a-bust and I would not recommend to anyone. I love Bad Bunny’s music, but his restaurant leaves much too much to be rectified!
lala is LOVE!!
Whenever you find yourself in San Juan Puerto Rico find your way over the lala located in San Juan Mall!! This large, elegantly appointed and luxurious space is serving up some of the tastiest and most innovative dishes around the island. We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us at the bar which was spacious and lush! We ordered a beautiful Cabernet and the Burrata appetizer….then it arrived. Most of us have had burrata, but I can assure you never like this!!! Of course the burrata was fresh, heirloom tomatoes perfectly ripe…parmesan crisp, rich and crunchy but then there was the TOMATO SORBET..OMG…WOW…this was true FLAVOR-PACKED PERFECTION!! It was like one of those things you would never think a dish needed and then you try it and realize all other preparations were lacking. An absolute STUNNER!! My entree was up next.. the Spicy Rigatoni with Shrimp. Truth be told I am not a big pasta eater but once in a while, I go for it. I cannot express how thankful I am that I had that desire at Lala!!! What arrived at the table was art! A boldly colored rich tomato sauce enveloping perfectly cooked rigatoni studded by canelles of fresh creamy stracciatella with basil and plump, juicy shrimp finished with toasted lemon breadcrumbs. As beautiful as the presentation was it could not hold a candle to the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING flavor of this dish!! The spices were intricately nuanced and created a balanced infusion of heat within the rich, sweet tomato gravy. I will go out on a limb and say this is the best pasta dish I have ever had in my life ..and I have had many living in NYC and visiting Italy several times Last up we tried a few desserts…a Banana Bread Pudding and a luscious Coconut Ice Cream. The bread pudding was supple and delicious,and brilliantly garnished in gold..it was not overly sweet but certainly satisfying of a sweet tooth. The coconut ice cream was garnished with a toasted fresh coconut crumble and was a truly delightful bite that truly encapsulated and exclaimed the island vacation experience. The menu at lala has so many gems to be excavated and indulged in…do not miss all this jewel has to offer!!
Absolutely Amazing
OMG!!! Lala did not disappoint in any area. We were a few minutes late but still accommodated. We had an early dinner because we waited to make a reservation. Did not matter at all. The service was A1. Leo was our main server and he was fantastic. He helped us with the menu and drink selection. Antonio made sure we had everything we needed as well. All in all the whole wait staff ran like a perfectly oiled machine. Max the manager walked me to the restroom and I couldn’t help but rave on how wonderful of an experience me and my girls were having. The food and drinks 10/10. Everything we had was a winner from cold plates to hot ones. Wish I had more picture of food but we tore it down. Lol This will definitely be a must go to everytime I visit PR.
Disappointing Birthday Experience at Lala
We visited Lala to celebrate my sister’s birthday, hoping for a special evening, but unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. Despite informing the staff in advance that we were celebrating a birthday, there was no effort made to acknowledge it. When I politely asked if they do anything special for birthdays, our server immediately snapped, “We don’t give anything for free,” which completely missed the point. I wasn’t asking for anything complimentary — just a thoughtful gesture to make my sister feel celebrated. The food was underwhelming and overpriced, and to top it off, they even charged us for tap water. It’s clear that this restaurant is more focused on profit than hospitality. For a place that tries to present itself as upscale, the lack of warmth and basic customer service was truly shocking. Sadly, we left feeling let down on what should have been a joyful occasion. I wouldn’t recommend Lala for any kind of celebration.
Excellent meal
My family wanted a more upscale experience for Easter and really enjoyed our dinner at Lala. Prices are high, but the quality, presentation and service make it worthwhile. We enjoyed entrees of branzino, New York strip steak, and beef cheek and all were excellent. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Only two misses - our side of creamed spinach came out lukewarm. Also, when we arrived the hostess wasn't overly welcoming, and made a point of telling us there was a two hour time limit on the meal, which given the cost and the half-empty nature of the restaurant, was tacky. Otherwise, an excellent experience and we would definitely return.

Amazing bday dinner !
Amazing spot for dinner the food was amazing and delicious my favorite part of the menu was the raw bar. The duck is out of this world a must try!! The atmosphere is beautiful inside and out. The service was very helpful kind and friendly his name starts with an R I feel so bad for not remembering he not only took very good care of us at dinner but also gave us a list of great local places after for my birthday a true 10 out 10 !

* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at lala Puerto Rico San Juan to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
