They had a great music in the background. The staff was nice and the flavors were well balanced. Overall 4/5 stars. Price was a little much for the offering. Having gone to over 30 plus Michelin restaurants all over the world, it was worthy of the 1 star. But priced 20% too high.
Hold your head high Lazy Betty
As you may see from our profile we have been fortunate enough to have eaten in some amazing establishments. This one we went in with some apprehension as it is not one of the major Gastronomical hotspots for this type of cuisine and many people had verbally said so to us. To them we say you are wrong, Lazy betty deserves its place within the Michelin guide. The service was friendly and Georgian. Particularly the sommelier (Blonde lady) she was so friendly and welcoming, and had such great knowledge. We enjoyed talking with her. The food its self was amazing the best bit in my mind was the Potato and white shrimp dish (i believe a signature of the restaurant). Every other dish was well executed and tasty. The only comment we felt were that there was a lot of rich cream/buttery dishes on the menu, which by the end of the meal you felt it. Super rich. We would come back if we ever return to Atlanta.

Funny that Lazy is part of the name - as it was everything but! The staff was incredible - the menu was art and the food - some of the best I've ever had.
As an overall meal and experience, this place is great.
The tasting menu had some really high points including the best steak I've ever eaten. But the low points include the long wait time between some courses, and an uninspired dessert course. After a great meal, the assortment of random chocolates and fruit brought the whole experience down and left me wishing we had skipped that course. And for $295 per person, the customer should expect to finish the meal with a bang. But with that being said, the staff was amazing and most of the courses were delicious. I'd go back when they offer a different menu with a different dessert.
I think this is the best fine dining restaurant in Atlanta.
Service could not have been more gracious and the food is exceptional. Now, it costs a full on car payment. But just a fantastic meal.
Came alone during a business trip.
Sat at the bar. Lexie was my bartender and server. She was attentive, friendly and overall just a delight. Ordered a bottle of wine based on the sommelier's recommendation (took half back to hotel with me). Had the tasting menu. Everything on it was delicious and beautifully presented. I enjoyed everything they gave me, and was given hand made cookies as a take away. Lexie was such a gracious host; she even walked me out to show me where I could catch my uber. Rockstar service from her especially. Loved this place, would definitely come back and recommend

A great place, I don't consider this to be a restaurant, I consider this place to be an experience! An absolute must do! Wonder food, the three staff members that waited on Me... Rose, Grace and Elizabeth were all top notch. They knew the menu in and out, made it a point to see that I was having a wonderful meal and great time. Chef Hsu came out to greet Me, give some history about the establishment. All in all it was just wonderful, I cannot wait to go back. Thank you Lazy Betty! Oliver

What a wonderful meal! It was special and felt high-end without being overly formal or stuffy. The staff were friendly and informative. Most impressive was the way they expertly accommodated the member of our party with a severe nut and shellfish allergy. They edited each dish to accommodate her needs without sacrificing taste or quality. Would recommend!

The tasting menu was delicious and a great experience, well worth the money. The mood and servers in this place are so nice and lovely, and the tasting menu was so varied and adventurous. I dont think most people, unless they have very advanced palates, are going to vibe with every single course necessarily, but i bet they will with ALMOST every single one and very strongly. I cant remember what they were all called but i want to shout out my favorites. The crab and rice bowl, the stuffed morel, and the sea bass were insanely good, as was the foie gras with raspberry jam-like substance. Those arent grill marks in the picture, its a striped situation like the worlds best and most sophisticated sweet and salty treat. I also really enjoyed the non alcoholic beverage pairing, which did a delightful job of matching each course in flavor so that each drink was super refreshing and complimentary. This was my first time doing a fancy chefs tasting menu like this, and it exceeded my expectations. I would love to go back and try their other menus in the future

We recently tried Lazy Betty for the first time for a special occasion. Our experience was truly excellent. Both of us did the Chef's Tasting menu - which had a variety of wonderful seasonal flavors. I would highly recommend the wine pairings, which we found to be both excellent and at times off the beaten path. Service was prompt and attentive. Care was always given to explain both the dish and the pairing, which was a touch that I really appreciated. The mood of the restaurant is dark and quiet - wonderful place for a date night.
Absolutely spectacular Michelin star restaurant in Midtown
Absolutely spectacular Michelin star restaurant in Midtown Atlanta. Came here for my wife's birthday and enjoyed our entire experience. Prior to arriving, we were called by the manager or owner to confirm our meal choice which he recommended the 6 course menu for us first timers. Turns out, it was an excellent choice and left us feeling satisfied and we'll fed. The drinks were excellent as well and we're recommended to us by our excellent server Anthony who was very helpful, friendly, and helped guide us through our meal with great personality. There were other team members who explained some of the courses to us, and they were all very thorough and kind as well. The ambiance of the restaurant is excellent with a nice looking bar that helps balance out the very well designed and not overly crowded restaurant. The entire experience at Lazy Betty was truly a Michelin star worthy experience and my wife and I were both completely satisfied. 5 stars easily and two very enthusiastic thumbs up for Lazy Betty! Thank you to all staff for an exceptional dinner!
Fine dining indeed!
This is the third michelin 1 star place I have visited. The others were in France and California. This place deserves its star: creative composition, beautiful plating, and great flavors. Very attentive though not always warm service. Meal price/value worth it. For me big downside was that cocktails and wines were way too pricey. Truffle service could be more exciting-at one place they shaved it at the table, but not here. Definitely worth a trip if you want a (very) fine dining experience in Atlanta
Lazy Betty is a win
Each course was complex and, paired with the music selection, made me smile. I was sure, after finishing one, the next course could not measure up to its predecessor. I was mistaken. The food and entire experience are thoughtfully curated. While so much rightful attention is given to wine pairings DO order a cocktail.
Hustling Betty
It should be Hustling Betty. The casual, intimate atmosphere talked about on the website was exagerated. So much constant interuption from the staff, always asking about the food as if looking for validation. One of the early dishes tasted like spoiled seafood, which made the subsequent dishes a challenge. Overstriving for creativity. Then a hefty bill. Will not return.
Bar Review… Pricey, Tiny Portions and Delicious
Super pleasant bar area with stools at the bar or tables. Bar bites are tiny portions, pricey, and very good. Great way to try out the food before investing in the $225 menu. All prices include 20% service.
Superb Cuisine with Warm Service
Pros: Chef Treats. Best breads ever. All courses delicious. Pastry chef amazing-complex snd creative. Friendly unpretentious service. Cool atmosphere. Excellent text communication. Cons: Parking and entrance complex. Back room better than front for privacy. Well worth the star! It is a SPECIAL meal.
Superb food, elegant room, professional service.
Superb food, excellent attentive service, attractive modern room, ambience set by the throbbing beat of dance music. Slightly overpriced for the actual performance, should probably be just under $175 per person not $225. Creative cocktails beautifully presented. My margarita had a complex clear pink profile but not as good as a fresh squeezed lime version. Each course was fabulous (amuse-bouche presented in a beautiful fall themed bento box was brilliant), followed by six courses: sashimi, foie gras, fish in exquisite sauce, Australian steak and assorted beef samplings, and a tasty overly-ambitious blueberry cucumber mouse in horseshoe shape. This space was occupied pre-pandemic by Empire State South, next door to the Hyatt-Centric hotel on 10th St. two blocks from Piedmont Park. This food and service merit the Michelin but I would plead for more smooth jazz and classical music. This experience should not feel like attending a common wedding reception with 20-year-olds anxious to get on the dance floor.
Great Anniversary Dinner
Laid back but very comfortable atmosphere. Food and drinks were amazing. Service was great and highly coordinated. Not a stuffy environment at all which led to a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommend.
The Best Fine Dining in ATL!!!
We’re big fans of Lazy Betty and finally got a chance to go to the new location at 10th and Peachtree. It is truly a food journey. The dishes are meticulously prepared with flavors that burst in your mouth in layers. I have e no idea how they even do it! You’re going to have to open your wallet, but you won’t regret it! I also love that they price in service and pay their staff a fair living wage vs the guests having to tip. This joint definitely deserves that Michelin Star they have!

Our party of seven were treated like kings and queens beginning with the reservation process. We experienced hospitality at its very best. The tasting menu was divine. Everything was perfect. Our special occasion celebration was a perfect symphony that exceeded any expectations we may have had. Highly recommend Lazy Betty for a perfect night out whether solo at the bar or dinner at a table.

I love a good chef's tasting and will not hold back on what I'm served. Out of all the Michelin starred restaurants in ATL this one has the best tasting menu. The waitress poetically described each element of the dishes served and had a jovial nature that added to the ambiance and experience. I will 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.

Wow!! I finally got my masters degree and needed to celebrate. Lazy Betty was here to take my whole slightly drunk and extroverted persona. As someone who's no stranger to Michelin starred restaurants Lazy Betty is absolutely at the TOP of the spectrum. Every bite I had was legendary. The standout for me was the fois gras terrine with beats. Brought me back to my grandmothers Eastern European kitchen in the best way possible. Did I mention the service is impeccable?!!! Seriously the most pampered I have ever been at a Michelin starred restaurant. Photos speak for themselves Come here. It is the BEST!! if I was a Michelin rater I'd give them 2 stars. Better than 2 star experiences I've had in NYC. Love lazy Betty.

Such an amazing experience! Still dream about that food! We sat at the service table which was great experience. If you love food and want to excite your palette, do yourself a favor and go to Lazy Betty!!! The caviar addition was worth it too!
Needs Work
I don't think the price point allows Lazy Betty to deliver the phenomenal experience it aspires to be. We felt like a higher price might allow a more focused and generous use of premium ingredients. Overall, our dishes were much too salty. And several visibly had more finishing salt than either of us wanted. Thought a few dishes had too much going on. Like the foie mousse, which had sheep's milk merengue kisses that were really cool and independently tasty, but indistinguishable in the broader dish. Portion sizes were too small for that number of courses (i.e. usually for portions of this size, you would expect 10-12 bites). I guess we could've done more add-ons? The desserts punched above their weight, and the final duck course better matched our expectations.

Highlights were the risotto add on and the duck. Dessert courses were delicious. Happy to have them in midtown! Can't wait to go back.
I've dined at many Michelin star restaurants.
This doesn't fit the bill for me. The food is seemingly inventive but feels derivative and uninspired on further inspection. Service was lacking the attentive care you see from comparable restaurants. To be clear, it is not a bad dining experience. But it doesn't live up to its cost or Michelin status. Ambience doesn't feel coordinated nor intentional. Hopefully their new location will be more purposeful.
The best dining experience I've had in Atlanta.
Dishes were creative, complex, and perfectly executed. Cocktails were equally impressive. Service was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Ambiance was inviting but left a bit to be desired in contrast to the impressive dining experience. I'm excited to visit the upcoming Midtown space. We ate here in early 2023 in anticipation of it being recognized by Michelin. It is incredibly deserving of the star it has received.

This year I have an ambitious goal to eat at all 45 of the Michelin Guide recommended restaurants in Atlanta. I'm happy to say that I started here. I made a solo dinner reservation for my birthday this weekend, eating here on Friday. I've been to more than a few Michelin-starred restaurants around the globe, so my expectations were realistic but quite high. Lazy Betty exceeded them for sure. I got to sit at the kitchen because of my party size, so I could watch the chefs do what they do (and pretend I'm in The Bear as I discussed with one of them) while savoring their work. I thought the bag hooks at the bar seats were a nice touch. I ordered a glass of rosé Robert Sinskey pinot noir and it was wonderful, very fitting to my tastes. Every course was incredible and delicious. I got the additional scallops, and WHAT a choice. I told the Chef de Cuisine they were life-changing scallops. I also loved the writing on the second dessert celebrating my special day! I'm so excited for this great restaurant to be down the road from me in Midtown. I spoke with the maitre'd about their opening day and might stop by to try their new bar menu if I'm around.

There's nothing on the menu that stood out. This is definitely not a Michelin star quality restaurant. It's overpriced and overrated. Would not go back!

..ok? So many of these high end restaurants aspire to be something some food critic deemed as "creative"...and you end up with just more of the same. For the $2000 we dropped on the four of us the meal just wasn't worth it. Crossed off the list since they had such high acclaim and four stars for incredible service but not sure we will be back anytime soon.
Extraordinary experience.
The food was expertly crafted and every bite delicious. The staff all combined to provide an excellent service in what seemed like an intricate dance. What a wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion.
Disappointed
I have never heard so much hype about a restaurant and been so disappointed. The atmosphere is not even what I would call casual, less than casual. We paid $200 for dinner and they seated us in the bar area. The food was less than OK. The music was too loud and not appropriate for a “nice” restaurant. The desert was good. Sad to give such a bad review but these people are playing restaurant. Not a professional restaurant and they have no business charging $200 per person. They asked for gratuity for front of house after adding 20% tip. I have never even heard of such a request. I was there on Jan. 14, 2024. The owner, head chef and manager should have a meeting and review what happened during this shift. Go anywhere else. Save your money.

It was an absolutely phenomenal experience. The seven course tasting menu was amazing and well deserving of the Michelin Star. The food is so creative and delectable. The customer service was impeccable. We were made to feel so welcome upon our arrival and our server provided us with exemplary service. The overall dining experience was exceptional and one I will never forget!!!

We dined here before this restaurant received a Michelin Star. We both felt it would get one, and were happy to see this happen. It's not your typical fine dining environment. The staff are more casual and relaxed. Will definitely be back!
Not safe!
We were excited to try the Lazy Betty after it received the Michelin star. Service was great. Food was mostly good - did not like lamb for the main course with no other option. BUT, there is no valet and my license plate was stolen while we had dinner. The parking lot is very sketchy. I called the restaurant and sent an email with no response! Terrible - don’t go - it is not safe and the restaurant doesn’t care.

Heard great things about this place, so we gave it a try. From the second we arrive to the second we left… nothing but greatness! From the front door host to every employee there, extremely nice and happy people working there. Tried just about everything on the menu. If you’re thinking about the price..DON’T…worth every cent.
Superb food
A friend and I had dinner at this freshly-minted one-star Michelin Atlanta place. We ordered the 7-course tasting meal. The food was impeccable from beginning to end. Highlights: roasted onion-filled tortellini, lobster in a yeast-based foam, lamb tenderloin on wine reduction, a terrific beet salad (and I don’t generally care for beets!) The service was informal (servers seemed to be wearing funky costumes) but friendly. I have only one complaint: the wine list. They did not have a selection according to the category of the place, and the bottles were upmarked about 5 times their retail price. But this does not overshadow my enthusiastic endorsement. The Michelin star is well deserved. Just bring your own wine.
Dreadful experience
Food was good but the courses were served out of order and wine parings didn’t match. So for example we received an onion tart as a first course followed by a beet salad so the freshness of the salad was killed. The worst was when they served us the wrong dish with a cider pairing and then dropped the new course, forgot to give us a new pairing, then it took so long to get the correct pairing we had to eat the course or it would get cold and then they dropped the next course and expected us to eat it with a luke warm cider and when we asked for fresh glasses they said they were out of the cider but didn’t offer us an alternate drink pairing. And all of this had to be brought to their attention multiple times to the point that they argued with us about what drink went with what course and suggested we were wrong until we were firm and they admitted they had completely cocked it up. Truly truly below par. They gave us a free course but still charged us for the cider pairing we didn’t drink and also still charged us service. Would never ever recommend. Dreadful experience.
Fantastic Special Occasion
Not that there are a lot of tasting menus in town but Lazy Betty executes it extremely well. When you’re going out for a really nice dinner you want to see attention to detail and everything down the placement of powders and garnishes was consistent and excellent. The duck in particular was stunning and so very rich. Splurge for the caviar if you can- a half ounce will be enough for two.

Likely the best restaurant in ATL
After four visits with consistent, exceptional food and service, I consider Lazy Betty to be one of the best dining experiences I have had in tasting menu style restaurants around the world. At some point it will earn a Michelin star which will be a nice honor for the Chef and staff. In the meantime, lucky customers get to savor this experience brought to you courtesy of the Hsu family, Aaron Phillips and Austin Goetzman. *Atmosphere: Cool location sets the tone for industrial chic meets ATL/southern hospitality. *Service: Impeccable. Knowledgeable staff perfectly balance attention without being obsequious. Standouts: Marvella (Wine Director) and Conrad (Bar Manager) are both gems. I was fortunate to meet Marvella when she was a server and she has rightfully been propelled to additional responsibility. I always have a new wine experience unlike any I have had with similar pairing menus thanks to her talent with locating unique wines and creatively pairing them with the different courses. Conrad has that gift of balancing making a great cocktail while being both socially interactive with guests at the bar and never missing any detail related to the tasting menu. *Food: I recommend look at the menu online because it changes seasonally. I have eaten here four times during three seasons and every time it was amazing. I am partial to adding the wine pairing and caviar as well as Wagyu, when available. (In other words, a gluttonous evening.) *Note: Parking is very easy and convenient. That said, because of the wine pairing option, I recommend rideshare or walking to allow for a fun night with a safe ending. Overall, if you are in ATL as a resident or just visiting, I highly recommend this venue. It doesn’t matter when you go:early or late. Your experience will be equally outstanding.
Disappointing in the food and overall experience
My sisters and I were highly excited to try Lazy Betty as the chef grew up in the same town as we did, and wanted to support. Firstly the staff, as we were greeted, the front person seemed to judge us as soon as we came in, they did engaged in any talk besides asking “name” when we walked in. I understand it’s not mandatory but for the experience and the amount we were going to spend I felt like joyful banter could have been necessary as a first impression. As we started getting dishes the descriptions to the dishes felt bland, the presenter felt and looked unenthused. There was only one person who was joyful and enjoyed explaining what we were about to have. We were seated outside which wasn’t a problem but while going to the restroom, I noticed that the experience from dining inside to outside was completely different, if anyone is going to attend this tasting I recommend asking to dine inside.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Lazy Betty Atlanta at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Lazy Betty Atlanta page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Lazy Betty Atlanta to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Lazy Betty Atlanta!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
