Opa Dubai Reviews
Overpriced and over hyped
Not a great experience. Found a piece of small plastic in my starters which cut the inside of my cheek. I raised this and a manager was brought over. As opposed to beginning with an apology, i found the tone quite accusatory and was told my greek salad was made with fresh ingredients... Not the 5 star experience ive been used to in dubai the 9 years ive been visiting, nor what would be expected at such an establishment. Honestly my first review I've given less than 4 stars. They offered to give us more starters but we just wanted to move onto the mains. We didn't get the desert we picked for some reason (we had selected one which looked unique) and got a basic chocolate plate with browine pieces on it which was nothing special. Food came timely and was good but service was sub-par as the waiters just stand around and aren't attentive. Nothing was set out for my anniversary either and i had stated this on my booking. You get 2 complementary plates and have to purchase more to throw and the focus on the entertainment is on whoever spends the most. Overpriced and over hyped, wish I listened to some of the other reviews.
Never ever going again .
The service was awful. Water served with no ice . Appetizer served first and drinks served at end of the meal , we were almost about to cancel the order. Very few people in the restaurant . Food was ok nothing special for the price u paying. Restroom was so filthy , floor was slippery . Staff was rude . Waste of time and money .

There was literally no one else in the restaurant when we got there for dinner at 5:30. Service was good but the food was awful. The beef skewers and fries came out super dry and flavorless, as did the chicken skewers and rice pilaf. The food tasted burnt and flavorless and was rubbery, it was so dry. The only tasty items were the pita bread, tzatziki, and the horiatiki salad.
Rubber chicken.
Oily rice pilaf. Really basic Greek salad. To go. No dressing. Chicken soup was very salty.
Fun environment with lots of outside seating.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend the flaming cheese! I had a fun business lunch there and trust me.... I'll be back.
Ignore the reviews, this place was fab!
After reading the reviews i was hesitant to book this restaurant however so happy i went. The food was AMAZING, recommend the lamb shoulder with mash. The table side hummus was fab, they had different ingredients you could add depending on what you fancied. Dress code was men to be in trousers however i wasnt aware, luckily they have spare trousers at the check in desk that they can provide so was happy with this. Our server was lovely, polite, and very attentive. Entertainment was great!
Memorable experience
Amazing experience, great food , attentive service . Special thanks to Dorian and Sabrina who were really helpful with recommendations. We had a great time eating and dancing .

Juan provided the best service! I was impressed with the presentation and quality ingredients in my dish. OPA is a great gathering spot for groups. I highly recommend this location for families.
Dubaiiiiiiiiii
Amazing place Really beautiful decoration The staff is very gentle They make amazing cocktails, especially krisna! He knows what you want even if you are not sure what do you prefer, he has a recommendation and an idea for everyone The food is delicious Also the music is a combination of house and Greek songs which have a nice balance The shows with the traditional Greek dances are so fun
Amazing brunch! One of the best in Dubai!
Fantastic food atmosphere staff and entertainment! One of the best brunches in Dubai! Food was super tasty and authentic it came out quickly, staff were attentive and fun and entertaining. Venue decor was also amazing and the dancing and chefs all felt very authentic, we felt like we were in Greece!

Stopped in for a Friday lunch, was able to be seated right away. Our party tried the one of the salads which was a decent size for one person, flank steak which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus which everything was cooked perfect and potatoes were airy and buttery. The skewers are also really good and come with two skewers. We also tried their gran sangria. It came in the big big goblets I usually see margaritas or micheladas in. Sangria was tasty and I was definitely feeling good after 1
I love this place.
The service is amazing, and the food is even better!! My favorite thing to get is the gyro pita with their fries. Their fries and yellow sauce is sooooo good! I definitely recommend trying it!
Enjoyable
Overall this was a very enoyable evening & experience - the venue/setting is very stylish, although the tables for two are quite small, offering little personal space. The drinks are very expensive, although free water is served throughout the evening - the food was outstanding, very tasty (Lamb kleftico & Wagyu gyros were delicious). We went for the early sitting at 8pm, so you only have two hours then have to vacate your table - therefore, the evening felt a little rushed with food presented too early. The entertainment was first class (greek dancing) which they encourage audience participation!!. One downside - they have a policy of no shorts for male guests which I found strange and uncomfortable at this time of year given the current climate (although clearly "less is more" doesnt seem to be an issue for femaies!). I am glad we made the effort to visit, and would recommend to all if you fancy something a little different, fun & quirky!

Had an amazing experience at OPA restaurant ! The Gyro Pita was delicious, the service was great, and we loved the outdoor seating with the soothing sound of water. Highly recommended !
Fun evening
Opa is a delightful Greek restaurant that offers a wonderful dining experience. The food is delicious, capturing the authentic flavors of Greece. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, making it enjoyable for all ages. Our server, Lia, was exceptionally sweet and helpful, adding a personal touch to our meal. Highly recommended!

The restaurant was basically empty, no greeters, extremely slow service. Even with 70% of the restaurant being empty, the food took so long and nobody asked for water or anything. We waited an extra half hour for the check and then ended up just walking to the front to pay because nobody was coming to ask. The food was fine, service was slow, do not go here.
There's a reason that Opa is not busy.
I think they left an "O" out of the name, more like Oops that we went to Opa! I think that for the most part the negative Yelp reviews (even the "yelp not recommended reviews) reflect my experience at Opa. The service was fine, no problems there, but the food was less than underwhelming. We had several appetizers and they were pretty good, no issues, but not so for the entrees. A couple highlights: - (Roasted veg salad, $16) Salad with grilled vegetables on top tasted like they were grilled days ago and served cold out of the fridge. Not fresh! - (Beef Souvlaki, $28) Some of the beef tasted just "ok", but 1/2 of it tasted like it was cooked a day earlier and rewarmed out of the fridge, an unpleasant recognizable day-old beef flavor that can't be hidden. The fries were on the order of In-N-Out with some extra seasoning and feta sprinkled over them. If you are a fan of In-N-Out undercooked fries you might like these, except these aren't as fresh tasting. Not worthy of the $28 price tag. Not fresh! I'm happy I didn't get sick. 2 stars for the ambience, service and appetizers. Enough said.
Absolute must experience
Had an amazing time the food was excellent and the service was on point, thank you Martin he was responsible for our table, he did a great work assisting us, and Maria for lighting up the mood all over, definitely will come back
Disgusting people and food
:"This restaurant charges exorbitant prices for food that is completely tasteless. Additionally, they pressure you into ordering dessert. Furthermore, the staff only seem to pay attention to wealthier patrons who order expensive dishes. There's also a crowd of uncouth individuals who lack any sense of decorum.๐๐๐๐๐๐
Below average.
Went with a group of friends and everyone had a certain criticism to say about the food. - Rice was stale, old, reheated. - Staff was not busy, yet inattentive. - Chicken was overcooked and dry The meal was just not worth the price.

Nice food, dependable service, consistent quality of everything. It tends to be quiet during weeknights, which gives an occasional feeling of being forsaken l - but that can be nice for an intimate evening, too.
I always enjoy coming here.
I love the food and the interior is nice. It surprises me that it's not as busy as you'd expect but it makes it easy to get a table. Zucchini chips - my favorite thing to get here!! Opa fries - nothing too special but good quantity Lemon chicken orzo - creamy, sweet, and delicious, my go-to Falafel pita - one of the better places serving falafel

We had a breakfast here on Sunday morning when all other breakfast places are packed. We got seated quickly. Only one waiter is serving. But he is very kind, tried his best to make every table satisfied. We ordered the Opa Fries and Gyro Meat Platter as starters. The food meets our expectations. Garlic flavored fries is gone in a minute. The meat platter only has Gyro, but the chilaquiles are freshly made, warm, soft with garlic aroma. It goes well with Gyro and tomatoes slice. We ordered Berry crepes, which is bit too sweet for us, with extra chocolate cream filling. I did not see much berry as filing, but some kiwi cubics. Another breakfast dish is Opa! Gyro Hash & Eggs. Excessive potatoes rather than Gyro. Nothing expressive. We all likes the other two dishes - Fiery Feta flank steak and Greek Chilaquiles. Chilaquiles is socked into a type of greenish dressing, with sour cream on the plate and melted cheese, steak on skewer. The steak is topped with garlic flavored creamy sauce Fiery Feta. Delicious! Overall not quite brunch place, but I think the dinner menu and the classic seat could possibly bring us back again.
A great experience
My experience at opa was absolutely fantastic! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by incredibly energetic and cheerful staff who immediately set a festive mood. the food was super delicious, the music was upbeat, and the DJ was able to create a lively atmosphere that made you want to dance the night away. The let-off atmosphere was second to none, and smashing plates was a unique and fun experience. The service was impeccable, and I really appreciated the enthusiasm and the professionalism of the staff not forgetting a waiter called halim he was very friendly and helpful. Overall I had a great evening and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Greek experience with a twist madness and good humor!
Got beef souvlaki and moussaka.
Food was good and flavorful - seasoned well, tender beef. Portions were on the smaller side but not super expensive either. They never refilled our waters, but there's a self serve cucumber infused water tower we used, not that big a deal, might have just been a busy day.
This Opa has gone downhill.
I would guess that the fact that the restaurant was 80% empty on a Friday night whilst everything around it was hopping is testimony to that. Service was ok. They brought our entries out while we were still eating our shared appetizer. Had to ask for a refill on my water. I was taken aback that our server was wearing a jacket with a logo on it from a construction or plumbing company rather than a more professional look. The food wasn't terrific. Our $26 misto frito was covered with blackened burnt bits, and the coating was very unevenly applied. Some things were clumped together and other pieces were completely uncovered. Unbattered calamari in a deep fryer turns to leather. My burger was dry beyond belief. I asked for a medium cook. My guest enjoyed his entree of a seafood flatbread. I think that for what we paid we'd have gotten a better meal elsewhere. I doubt I'll be back to this location.

Wow, this place used to be "the spot" in Willow Glen but I can see why this place has gone downhill. The food is actually good, but the service needs lots of work. I had the Greek salad $20. It was good. They gave 4 chicken pieces that were grilled with thousand island dressing. Chicken was somewhat tender, lettuce was crispy. The service. They kept asking my group whether they were done. You could clearly tell they were still eating. They did this 5x times. The waiter did apologize but he could tell my group was getting frustrated by it. Then water glasses were empty and I had to ask for water. The restaurant was empty during peak lunch hour. The bathrooms were clean. Inside is still classy. This place just needs some good customer service training to restore it to its glory days.
Unreal restaurant!
Never been to a place like it! The service from the moment we walked in was fab! The staff couldnโt have been more welcome. The food was one of the best meals Iโve had! The plate smashing and dancing was great! 10/10 would defo be a place to visit and would highly recommend!
Restaurant tries to rip you off - Caveat emptor
We were charged a hefty "No Show" charge even though we were eating at the restaurant due to a mistake made by the staff in not cancelling our reservation - Loust system, and really underwhelming service
Poor overpriced standard affair
Would not return here - food was mediocre - staff pretentious and tip hungry and generally a sour experience - stay away like the plague
Tonight I ordered Grilled chicken breast marinated in
Tonight I ordered Grilled chicken breast marinated in lemon vinaigrette. It was supposed to be served over orzo with fresh herbs, and tossed in a lemon and honey yogurt sauce. I also ordered a bowl of Greek lemon soup. What I got was a half chicken. The breast was dry and leg and thigh pink at the bone. There was about a 1/4 cup of mashed potatoes and a forkful of greens. No Orzo. The soup was all broth with a floss of chicken. NO orzo in the soup either. It was my first time ordering from this restaurant. To call itself authentic Greek is ridiculous. Avgolemono is generally a thicker broth with pieces of chicken and orzo. This was NOT traditional Greek. If this is what Opa does to it's customers who order for delivery it's a travesty.
Martins was great help, the restaurant was amazing
I was there with my mum and we had a wonderful time. Itโs such a lovely restaurant with lots of entertainment. The food was also fantastic. The waiter, Martins was super helpful and kind to me and my mum. Iโd definitely recommend it
I visited Opa! last week with some friends.
We made a reservation, but fortunately the restaurant wasn't too busy during the week. There were booths and tables available. As a group of four (with three vegetarians), we ordered the dip sampler (all the dips!) with extra pita, and then two flat breads - the roasted veggie and the greco Roman. The Greco Roman was my favorite - I was surprised when it came out cold because of the tzatziki, but it was really tasty. It was a bit pricy for the portion size so I don't think I would come back too often, but overall the food was good and it was a good group spot.
Amazing Restaurant!!
The best food in Dubai!! Great restaurant and atmosphere! Martins is by far the best waiter in the restaurant!! Canโt wait to go back!!
Dinner experience
Haleem , Martins and Hristov are making the place exceptional, a great experience with a very good vibe and food

Enjoyed dinner here! Service was wonderful! Yami was our server and she was very attentive super sweet, i would definitely recommend the server to anyone that dines here. food was amazing as always!
Reservation
I was really disappointed, while booking a table for my family. While booking the restaurant I spoke with Ms. Abra, she was rude, unprofessional and when I asked her name she hang up the call. So I had to call again and the phone was picked up by ARM. The conversation was not pleasant at all.
Best Greek restaurant
Went there with our friends , lovely atmosphere, amazing ambiance, great food taste , excellent hospitality. Just the right place for friends who want to have good food & dance
Been there done that
Good fun smashing a plate or two and thats part of the night out. The food is ok, not amazing but acceptable. Compared to Greek food in Greece of course it does not compare but thats the same with most Dubai restaurants. What IS interesting is the amount on one review people that comment with AMAZING food or the opposite. Friend's/enemies I guess :)
Fun night
Had a good night at Opa. The show was great and the plate smashing fun. Found it disappointing that we only got 1 plate each and then had to buy a stack if you want more. The cost of the meal was expensive and having to pay for extra plates left a bad taste in my mouth. Surely at the prices they charge a few extra plates wouldnโt make a difference. Good fun but once your been there once you wouldnโt rush back.
Awesome food and fun
Authentic Greek night that comes on side with a variety of Greek delicacies wile smashing plates in a vibrating atmosphere of international and Greek music , highly recommended for a entertaining restaurant!!!
Best restaurant ever
Wow - staff amazing, food amazing - staff made you feel really welcome, service was second to none,. They got every one up dancing, enjoyed smashing plates - would strongly recommend everyone and anyone to go here - best place in Dubai
Unique experience
Me and my friends decided to go to Opa, as we wanted to try something new and different, and it was a great decision to choose this restaurant, because this is unique place in Dubai with it's traditions and food and atmosphere. We had so much fun during the dancing and plates braking. Planing to celebrate my birthday there. If you are looking for something special, than you definitely must to try Opa!

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Opa Dubai at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Opa Dubai page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ElaborateHouse74, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ElaborateHouse74 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ElaborateHouse74 for any questions Peter may have as ElaborateHouse74 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ElaborateHouse74 now uses their connections at Opa Dubai to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ElaborateHouse74 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ElaborateHouse74 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ElaborateHouse74's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Opa Dubai!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
