Valette Healdsburg Reviews
Wonderful service and food- but a very, very loud room.
Hard to hear people at my table. For a Wednesday night I was surprised it was so loud. We enjoyed the foie gras with peach so much. It was a perfect starter. The salad was beautiful and tasty. The poke was playful and tasty. The charcuterie had a few too many pickles for our taste - but you can't fault the quality of the ingredients. I had the duck entree - which was excellent. Some of the best duck I've had- and a very large portion (so large there was no way I could eat dessert). My friend had trout and she found it to be perfect. She wasn't impressed with the dessert - although she said the ice cream was very good. I would come back just for the foie gras and salad! I just wish the place wasn't so deafeningly loud.

We had a wonderful experience with the 5 course fixed dinner. Attentive service and great presentation at each serving. Staff and chef were great. However, I think we made a mistake choosing to sit outside. Too many cars driving by on the street. It hurt the ambiance just a little. Next time, I think I try inside dining.
A true fine dining experience.
From the moment you arrive until the dessert hits your table, this is a special experience. The star is the scallop appetizer...and the duck might bring you to tears...everything is so well thought out; elements that seem a throw away are integral. Even if it's chilly, sit outside, the patio is warm and lovely!
Right when you walk in, the ambiance is relaxed and upscale.
They have many servers that are attentive, almost to a fault always there to remove dishes right when you finish your last bite. The food is tasty and presents well, but a little pricy for the quality. The NY strip was a little tough and chewy. And the portions for the appetizers were pretty small for the price.

We had a great time at this restaurant, overall a wonderful experience with the servers and ambiance. We really loved each dish we had, but just felt the price was a little high for the size of each dish. We started with the caviar, then the mussels and for the entree the duck with plum sauce. My favorite was by far the duck entree!
Valette Walked into a beautiful restaurant with sleek
Valette Walked into a beautiful restaurant with sleek style and cool ambiance. I had the restaurant staff have 2 glasses of champagne reserve brut something Monthuy's Reserve Brut set up for when we arrived and it was good & Toasty Brioche and citrus notes champagne which was perfect way to start the event. And there was a birthday card for Mike on the table which was sweet! Isaac came over to the table and gave us the specials for the night and I was all about the chefs menu of 5 courses with wine pairings! And what was great was they let me choose all of our wines from the wine list because I'm an advanced certified sommelier!. But this definitely had me excited so for the dinner that awaited us. And the 5 course menu cost $135 X 2 = $270.00 Plus reserve wines pairing. $75 X 2 = $150.00 Plus. 2 glasses of the reserve Champagne $46.00 = $466.00 + 14+ for the staff added + 479 + 46 for tax = 525.80 + 150 cash tip. 1st course we had the Oeaetra Caviar - with cured egg, smoked white sturgeon, and buttermilk brioche toast and I chose the Sancerre for Mike and the Matanzas Creek Dry Chenin Blanc for myself and the wines paired beautifully with the caviar. 2nd Course - Scallop encroute- Squid Ink - Melted Leek & Fennel Caviar Beurre Blanc and I paired the David Ramey Chardonnay for Valette with this and the nuanced tropical fruit and apple flavors into the brioche notes of buttered toast with oak! 3rd Course- Porchetta' Tortellini en Brodo: Prosciutto - Parmesan, Crispy Pork Skin. Paired with Pinot Noirs, mine was the savory styled Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley named Chev for $35/glass and wow it was exquisite along with the prosciutto in tortellinis made for plate presentation and lightly delicate with soul and vigor at the same time! Mike had the Lando Pinot Noir which is from Sonoma Coast and is a more juicy styled Pinot Noir 4th Course- Brown Butter Poached Filet Braised Short Rib - Sauce Bordelaise Heirloom Carrot Puree - Cipollini onion and wow the entree was rich, dense and full of flavor which went spectacularly with the Aperture Cabernet Sauvignon at. $36/ glass and drinking really well that evening and paired well to the big rich filet mignon and short ribs 5th Course- Smoked Volo Chocolate Pave Mousse Cake - Graham Cracker Crumbles Toasted Meringue - Oven Roasted Cherries was delicious and was paired with a Juracon dessert wine and I had a 10 year old Malmsey Madeira and it was a great meal- one of the best all time!! Meals on this Earth!!!

TLDR: Lovely nighttime ambiance paired with refined and delicious food. Scallops like I've never had them before. Fantastic experience with great service -- will definitely be back. ------ FOOD: 1. Scallop (5/5) Tasty, fun, and unique. The scallop is served in a small pot covered by a beautiful puff pastry that you break through and eat with the scallop. Wish there was more than one scallop, but for an appetizer, this was probably the perfect portion. 2. Trout (5/5) Fantastic trout dish with well-seasoned, buttery layers. Not dry. 3. Salad (4.5/5) Great salad, would definitely order again. 4. Snickers Dessert (4/5) Essentially a homemade Snickers bar. Was delicious, but as a dessert lover, I will say that this didn't fully satisfy my sweet tooth craving. ------ SERVICE: * No notes, I thought it was a lovely experience and the waiters checked in on us consistently throughout the night without feeling overbearing. They were very kind to us ------ AMBIANCE / ENVIRONMENT: * Loved the ambiance here. Dark, romantic, cozy. Perfect for a date night!
I took my husband here for his birthday a few days ago.
We were greeted with warmth and was given a choice to choose our own table (a cozy small table by the wall). The server was friendly, I get the very welcoming environment and not stuffy at all! The menu is small but consists of sharable starters, appetizers, entrees and sides. We started with the Sonoma County Organic Salad. For entrees we went with the Trout and the Prime NY Strip Loin. The food was delicious, fresh, and made exactly how you asked for it. My hubby enjoyed his bone marrow that came with his steak. We had room for dessert so we went with the ItsNotA "Snickers Bar" Deux. It looks like a snickers bar but tasted like a soft version of it consisting of cocoa tuille-peanut powder, dark chocolate & sea salt ganache. I can tell this restaurant takes great pride in not just their food but their service. We had a great experience dining here and would recommend Valette!
Great bread and salad.
Cocktails underwhelming. Pork chop and duck were excellent. Ask for a little more topping for both. Dessert looked good but tried something else on the block. Ambience was festive with high energy. Wine by the glass was not the best value.
I always love dining here.
The food is delicious and the service wonderfully attentive. It's always a treat to visit and the location on the square is perfect for walking and exploring downtown Healdsburg.
Outstanding restaurant in Healdsburg
A wonderful find in Healdsburg. Booked before leaving the UK based on reading their website and others reviews. From the moment we walked through the door we were warmly greeted and congratulated on our anniversary. The chef’s Father also gave us a great welcome and chatted with us about how long we’d been married and about the restaurant. Our waitress was equally welcoming and looked after us throughout our evening. The food was delicious and the some of the choices unusual, which we like. My husband had the scallop starter on the recommendation of the Chef’s Father and it was delicious, served in a pan with a pastry topping which is then upturned and becomes a bowl for the scallops (which were huge!) The food was all outstanding and we wish we could go back to sample more. The bread and jam desert was awesome! Good choice of reasonably priced wines, including their own label. The staff all made it a special night for us presenting us with an anniversary card and a commemorative menu which was a lovely touch. If you’re going to Healdsburg this is the restaurant to dine at.
Disappointed....
We have been to the restaurant before. However, this time we were disappointed. Once we were seated, we felt rushed the entire meal. Our order was split into 3 courses. As soon as we finished a course, our plates were quickly cleared and the next course came without any breaks in between. And multiple people came to our table, which would not normally be a problem. The assigned waiter apparently was not paying attention to the courses. After our 2nd course, he comes to our table and plops the dessert menu down and takes off. We were totally confused. When he came back to take our dessert order, we told him that we had not had our main course. Would never expect this kind of service at this restaurant. The next time we are in town, we will be trying other restaurants.
Absolutely perfect
Had the most amazing experience at Valette for our 23rd anniversary. When I made the reservation they asked if it was a special event and then asked how many years. When we arrived they had special menus that said "Happy 23rd Anniversary" printed on them. Our server was great, she was attentive and knowledgeable. She worked with us with our annoying dietary restrictions without any issues. The food is absolutely fabulous! We ordered items from their daily special mostly. I think only 1 thing from the regular menu. I cannot say enough about how good the food was. One of the owners came by our table to wish us a happy anniversary and chat for a minute. So did the father of one of the owners. They were both so nice. It was very thoughtful and made us feel special. My husband was able to speak briefly to the chef that made our food. They were all so very friendly. Did I mention how good the food was? We ordered foie gras for our app, mushroom risotto as our second, crab stuffed sole, bone in filet mingnon for entrees with a roasted sweet potato side and an amazing dessert with espresso martinis. Will definitely be going back next time we are in town!
Pass and try another restaurant.
What a disappointment! Service was nice, however after that it was disappointing. We seated and then raced through dinner! There was no hurry as we were seated outdoors, our request, and there were only two tables being occupied. We received bread, our order was taken, and then the food came out before we could finish the one roll we were previously served. Webare familiar with fine dining in Europe where meals are expected to last hours, but his was expected to be turned over in kess than an hour. Their signature dish of Ahi tuna was bland, I used the salt on the butter to liven up the dish. My wife’s foie gras was veiny and anything like the real foie gras you receive in the Alsace area of France. The seconds were mixed, as my wife enjoyed her squash plate and my duck was a bit over done. All this could be understandable if it didn’t cost me over $200 dollars for two without wine!! Wine list was extraordinary expensive. I’m happy to not have been further disappointed with a $100 dollar bottle of wine. How this is a Michelin star I don’t know, but I couldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Magical!
This was our second visit because the first was absolutely magical. We had to go back and see if it was a fluke and also to say thank you to the special staff for the amazing evening we had in October. No fluke and we had all the same wonderful staff - we just didn't eat as much this time. The October story is long and winding, but basically we arrived with no reservation but with a recommendation from the wine guy at sister restaurant The Matheson. Shaun started off our evening by seating us at the 2 remaining bar seats, right by the open kitchen front, and gave us complementary bubbly. We had already had some food earlier but duck was on the menu and my husband loves duck. We asked about the salads and ordered one (but received both - a little happy accident) plus the duck. I spotted a Petit Verdot on the wine by the glass list and got that. They gave my husband two very generous 'tastes' of different Pinot Noirs (he usually doesn't like that variety) and while he struck up a conversation with their wine gal, I was observing the absolutely amazing positive energy coming from the kitchen. The chef, Dustin Valette, was there and seemed to be making everyone in his sphere feel that they were important and doing a great job. I've never seen anything like it. Eventually I spotted a gentleman standing on the other side of the bar with a glass of wine and said 'you look like you need a cheers'. Turns out he's the dad - Bob Valette - wandering through the guests making sure they are happy and enjoying their time. He spent a good 5-10 minutes talking to me and when I said it was my husband's birthday the day prior, he came back with a signed birthday card - not just by him. What? Who does that? Shaun checked in on us several times. The wine gal was able to set up purchase of a single bottle of their 100 point Cab. The bartender (Dale?) was so friendly. I probably had too much to drink between wine tasking, happy hour and then this experience, but I seriously had tears in my eyes from how amazingly we were treated. The food was fabulous, too, of course. I think we got charged for 1 glass of wine and the duck - maybe one of the salads? It was an incredible experience all around, which we'll never forget, and we tell everyone we know to head on over to Valette if they are ever in the area. Thanks Valette team! You guys are all very special.
The top rating of this restaurant was well deserved!
This restaurant got a big “thumbs up” from our party of eight. We had a six-course meal and each course was spectacular thanks in large part to the wait staff which took great effort to explain the course and that also quickly replaced each piece of dinnerware that was required by after each serving! Yes, this Alabama boy notices such details-ha. Do not miss the bread rolls and special butter—best I ever had! Its top rating is well deserved. A real treat was getting to meet Bob Valette, the owner’s father. A dedicated firefighter that has given 50 years of service to his profession flying the tanker planes that put out mountain fires. Note: My son is a fireman, too.
A must dinning option in Healdsburg, CA
From the moment we were greeted by Lily to the friendly staff, it started the evening with good experiences. Thanks to Brian from Crux winery for the recommendation, the chef tasting menu is the way to go! Two of us had mostly different dishes so we got to try more varieties. Very reasonably priced. We saw many brought their own wines, great idea since the corkage is not too high. Nice ambiance, overall a nice evening with good food.
Five star food!
Valette in Healdsburg offers undeniably incredible food—fresh, modern, and familiar with a creative twist. If this review were based solely on the cuisine, it would be a glowing five-star experience. Every bite was a testament to the skill and thoughtfulness of the kitchen, leaving us thoroughly impressed. Unfortunately, the service and overall ambiance fell short of expectations. We arrived early for our reservation and, due to their packed bar, were directed to Duke’s around the corner for a drink. While Duke’s turned out to be a fantastic recommendation, the experience left us feeling like an afterthought at Valette. When we returned, the front-of-house staff seemed stressed and disengaged. There was no warm welcome or effort to make us feel valued—just a rushed handoff to our table. Our waiter’s attention seemed heavily skewed toward other tables, likely regulars. His lack of charisma with us was especially noticeable as we saw him charmingly engaging with others nearby. The support staff and manager added to the tense atmosphere, with the latter audibly critiquing team members in a way that detracted from the dining room experience. The overall vibe felt harried and far removed from the polished hospitality we had anticipated based on their reputation. It’s a shame the service didn’t match the excellence of the food, as Valette has so much potential. Hopefully, our experience was an anomaly, as the kitchen’s talent deserves a front-of-house operation that complements it.
Outstanding In Every Way!
Outstanding in every way. We saw the wonderful reviews and decided that Valette would be the perfect Healdsburg experience in conjunction with our travels in this lovely area. The poki appetizer was beyond amazing. And the waiter, upon learning that we planned to share, had the portion divided in the kitchen; a sign of excellent service. Our mains; the pork and the duck, were equally impressive and delectable as was the cauliflower side dish. What a divine experience!
Excellent food
Food was great, service was excellent and location was just perfect. Also, the restaurant has its own wine after the restaurants name, it is really good, definitely have a glass of their wine with your meal. Street parking only.

An absolute top tier experience! We dined here for the first time to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were greeted with a personalized menu wishing my wife a happy birthday, complementary sparkling wine, and a thoughtful birthday card. The owner also stopped by and introduced himself, and spent some time warmly chatting with us. Just wonderful. Our very knowledgeable and friendly server suggested the five-course tasting menu, and we decided on that (although we declined on the offered wine pairings, having come from an extended tasting earlier that afternoon). Every course was delightful. Presentation of each was aesthetically beautiful and unique, and each course offered unique tastes and combinations of elements. By the last course we were absolutely stuffed to the gills. Not only did the entire experience exceed our expectations, we both felt Valette needs to become a regular staple of our Healdsburg return visits. This has not always been true of Healdsburg vendors, shops, and destinations. Some of the more "tourist-forward" kinds of businesses have been, well, disappointing in prior trips up here. Not so with Valette. We will definitely be back, as Valette has left up to the top of our Healdsburg short list.
Vallette has been our special place for important dates
Vallette has been our special place for important dates such as Valentine's, birthdays Anniversary. Not only is the food and atmosphere fantastic, but so is the staff. This evening my husband arranged a reservation to celebrate my birthday. Harry the manager and Shaun the assistant manager made our evening very special. Thank you for the special treatment. This is the reason we keep coming back. Ron&eileen Riggan
Wish i could rate this 2.
5. The food was mediocre and given the price and the reviews, I expected way better. If you're going to have a simple/traditional menu, the execution needs to be on point, and this wasn't. We started with the shishito peppers and the ice berg salad. These were not worth it. I feel l can cook this better at home. My husband and I had the scallops, the steelhead, and the steak, and shared them all. The steelhead was under-flavored and a bit over cooked. The steak was though. My husband liked the bone marrow that came with it. For dessert we shared their take on a Snickers bar and it was delicious!! It was the one part of the meal we would eat again. We ate at the Matheson (the night before), which was excellent, and we were pretty disappointed with the inconsistency in the quality between the two restaurants, which are owned by the same family.

Our dining experience was absolutely spectacular for my boyfriend's birthday at Valette. I was a food writer for years and have dined in many top restaurants in the US and abroad, so my comparisons are many. For a special occasion in particular, I look for restaurants that have a very high quality in food; tasteful, creative decor; and exemplary service -- but I also want unpretentious places that feel authentic -- like someone's passion project that is uncontrived yet purposeful, and where I feel that the value is there. We chose the chef's 5-course tasting menu with wine pairing since we were celebrating a birthday. We had no idea it would be so over the top. We expected that we would be served the same foods or have a few options, but we were served ten dishes and ten wines. We thought portions would be on the small side, but each was absolutely sufficient for both of us to enjoy a few bites of all 20 servings of food and wine. We were so delighted we could barely contain ourselves! Every dish was impressive and the wines were far above average in price and quality (for the fixed price we paid) -- and they were better than any wines in tasting rooms we went to on our trip. The expertise of all of the staff shone brightly throughout our meal! The service was stellar. The 5-6 people who came to our table were all knowledgeable, energized, witty and seemed to love their jobs. Isaac, our waiter and primary contact, gets an A+ for his 3-hour stint with us. He knew the food and wine well, and chatted amiably and answered our questions. Others dropped off dishes or picked up plates or poured wine. At the end we felt that we must talk to the manager so we could rave about our experience. Shaun came to our table, we talked at length, he gave us other recommendations for wineries, bakeries, and other favorites, and affirmed our other lunch and dinner choices. Then we went to the open kitchen to tell the chefs how thrilled we were. We wanted to tell everyone personally, and couldn't stop talking about that meal for days. The bill came to $400 and we left a $100 tip. It was well worth it. While we are comfortable financially, we are not ultra rich, and the birthday boy said it well: "This birthday dinner will be memorable for a long, long, long time." I attached a photo of my boyfriend making a wish over a candle and dessert.

Another overrated restaurant.
We called on Friday for a Saturday seating at 5:00pm. The pretentious answer was, we might be able to fit you in on a small table but we cannot be late. Once we got there, we saw that the restaurant was 50% occupied. And it stayed that way thought the evening. We ordered the foie gras, the scallops and the salad for appetizers. All three were good. The scallops were perfectly cooked. Then came the disastrous main courses. The Chilean sea bass was overcooked and dry with no hint of seasoning including the stuff that was underneath, whatever it was. It is such a juicy and delicious fish when done right. Alas, this chef is unaware of how to do it right. I gave up eating it about 3/4 of the way through despite being hungry. The staff was raving about the duck so it was even more disappointing to find it chewy and tasteless. All you have to do with a duck breast is to salt it and then slowly render the fat off. The chef must've been asleep during the duck class. We were glad to have not tried the 4 course meal. We're staying away from this establishment and would like to wish you good luck if you decide to go.
Absolutely wonderful tasting experience at Valette in
Absolutely wonderful tasting experience at Valette in Healdsburg, that was even better than my tasting experience at their nearby sister restaurant, The Matheson. Valette stands out as a great spot for a special occasion meal. We each ordered the 5 plate tasting, and the way they do the tasting menu for couples is ingenious: each individual gets a different dish, which allows you to taste a total of 10 dishes, assuming your partner is willing to share their bites with you. Highlights include: day boat scallop encroute, carrot soup with candied fennel and whipped creme fraiche, their New York steak, a pasta that came with our tasting (but not on the main menu) and their desserts, particularly the bread, butter and jam. We loved the ten varied plate tasting for couples, and wondered why all restaurants don't do this. Everything we had was delicious perfectly prepared, service was relaxed and still attentive, timing was near perfect and they even printed our name on the menu for our special event. Impressed. Such a nice spot!

A perfect dining experience! Started with Champagne at the bar before being seated. Once seated, enjoyed of the best foie gras appetizers I've ever had (special for the day). We had entrees of steelhead and pork chop. Just excellent on every level. Service was relaxed but spot on. The GM was very personable and came by to make sure everything was to our liking. IT WAS!!
My last two visits here have been very disappointing.
I used to come here very often. Today, for the first time ever, we decided to do the 'trust me' tasting menu. A friend was a few tables away and told us about some of her courses for the tasting menu, so we decided to do it, and told our waiter that we expected the same courses. Our courses were very different. At $20 per course for the trust me menu, one of our courses was carrot soup. That was a joke. The pork belly then came out, and was barely room temperature. It was cold and hard. The course was obviously stacked in the kitchen and not prepared to order. We also clearly communicated with the server that we wanted the scallop as a course as our friend had it a few tables over - it only came out for two of four people at our table. Epic fail tonight. The server never asked how we liked any of the food. I told him about the cold and hard pork belly and he didn't seem to care. My husband and I were here a week ago and ate at the bar. We ordered the bone in fillet - the bartender presented it to us and it looked fabulous. It was finally served to us over five minutes later and was served medium well. Epic fail. I am very very sad to say, that I can no longer recommend Valette. It used to be my number one recommendation. It is obviously going downhill. Update - my friend got food poisoning last night - likely from the room temperature pork belly. (The carrot soup was also not very hot) The kitchen is definitely having issues. As a local, I won't be recommending Valette any more.
We walked in and were lucky to find a good table outside.
The food was spectacular especially the Day Scallops, the best I have ever had and I am spoiled ha ha ha......
Such a fun dining experience! Me and my husband came here
Such a fun dining experience! Me and my husband came here for our anniversary and it was nothing short of amazing. We did the tasting menu, opted for 6 courses. Every dish was specatcular! My husband and i got different dishes every course (2 different salads, 2 different proteins, ect), which makes it fun because you can try so many things. Frank was our server and he was fantastic. We asked him to bring us wine/port with our meal, and he knocked it out of the park, the pairings were spot on. Great guy with plenty of knowledge. We will be back!
A gourmet dinner delight, highly recommend!
We went to celebrate our 1 year Anniversary, had such a memorable evening! A special Anniversary menu, two glasses of complimentary champagne, superior service and our best dinner this year. Delicious scallop appetizer, foie gras, ahi tuna and steelhead, all unbelievable flavors❣ Thank you Alfred and the chefs at Valette for a fabulous Anniversary dinner!

Food the atmosphere is amazing we came to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Service is everything.
What a wonderful experience.
The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The setting very classy. And the day boat scallop appetizer was phenomenal, maybe best dish I have ever had at a restaurant, including entrees. Menu is limited but all dishes were very good. We had duck and steelhead, both outstanding.
Unbelievable.
....first time here and wow. 5/5 any day. 6/5 if I could. Can't wait to try the entire menu. An absolute GEM. Dukes bar then Valette - you are in for a treat.

I think about the Day Boat Scallops en Croute alot, mostly because I didn't think I liked scallops until we had them here. The scallops were so tender and sweet, studded with little pearls of caviar that added the perfect briny pop to the buttery sauce. Bob, the chef, came over and spoke with great passion about how the scallops were sourced, so that also really added to the experience as well. But the real star of Valette is Frank. He is so genuine, personable, and funny. Thank you for the conversation and going the extra mile to let us try new things. It has been awhile since my husband and I were able to take a break and go somewhere special - you made our evening very memorable and it was the perfect end to our weekend getaway.
Here on vacation with my family.
Was a healdsburg local for a long time and this place never disappoints. Very genuine and knowledgeable staff. Will continue showing support whenever I'm here and can. Thank you Valette!!
Place is nice, dinner was ok, I really wanted to give this
Place is nice, dinner was ok, I really wanted to give this 5 stars but there were a few things that could've been better. Sandra forgot our scallops appetizer which was a bummer, she said sorry after we asked about it but i felt she could've gone above and beyond and offered a complimentary desert as an apology and it would've done wonders for my experience (standard modus operandi for any high end restaurant) The older bearded gentleman in a suit brought us the appetizer at the end of our meal, didn't apologize, didn't engage, just dropped off the appetizer and left, really odd behavior for a so called "high end restaurant" The duck breast was rough too, felt like you were biting into a 2 dollar steak but overall the rest of the food was great, Solid 2.5 stars for me but this experience could have easily been a 5

During the pandemic we were able to pick up take out at Valette. It was so good we had been meaning to try it in person. We finally got there for dinner on Thursday night during restaurant week. We weren't able to get a reservation so we took a chance on a walk in table by arriving shortly after they opened. We were seated on their patio. I am tempted to give them 5 stars but since we didn't eat indoors I didn't feel like I saw the entire operation. The patio was very well set up with plenty of heaters. Our wait staff was attentive without being cloying and the food was as good as I remembered. Before dinner I had a Your Passion's Showing cocktail. Yum! I had the poke to start. It was right up there with some of the best I've had. Next came the steelhead filet served with broccolini. It was crisped to a golden color and surrounded by a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. For desert I had Volo Dark Chocolate Cremeux. If you like chocolate, and I do, you'll love this. I'm so glad we finally got here in person.
Return trip to little Healdsburg did not disappoint.
Lucky us to get a short list of the good places -we went to Willis, Dry Creek, that killer bakery (must buy that walnut bread) , Matheson rooftop, that place around the corner with the deck, Seghesio wines, RIDGE wine tasting in picturesque setting, and some great art at AERENA Galleries.
Came here for my anniversary and had a wonderful time.
The service was great and the cocktail and wine menu is extensive. We particularly enjoyed the ahi tuna dish.
Incredible dining experience in downtown Healdsburg!
This place is absolutely amazing. I had the trout and we shared a salad. The service is excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive, the food is absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere is great. Their wine selection is great and love that they support local wineries. They are now having Jazz music on Tuesday and Wednesday night. There is so much to love about this place and we will definitely be back soon!
The Joy of Dining!
Busy Friday night when we arrived for our reservation! The inside, where we ate, was quite boisterous with couples and small groups enjoy the evening. We usually prefer quiet restaurants, but the ambiance was joyful and fun! The food was wonderful — from the beautifully presented and served creamy pumpkin to the bone in pork chop. I cook and appreciate the work and creativity that goes into the preparation of farm to table fresh menus. Wonderful evening! We will be back!
It’s alright
It's ok.... I'm not sure why they have so many unfriendly people serving. Our server wasn't really friendly or attentive. The food is decent. Not life changing but it's pretty dark inside.
Disappointed
Our dinner was just average. We were disappointed since this restaurant usually has good reviews. Service though was good. However we wouldn’t come back and would recommend Hazel Hill, the restaurant at the Montage in Healdsburg where our dinner the second night was outstanding!
Still amazing! One of favorite restaurants ever!
Another amazing meal at Valette. Sigh. Such beautiful food, service, ambiance. Our server was outstanding and gave us great recommendations for wine and food. My husband and I shared the Ahi poke and the scallops en croute appetizer (incredible). Followed by the fish and the pork - again outstanding. We try to come here every time we visit Healdsburg as it’s such a treat. I’m so pleased that they are still able to maintain such a high standard and provide such a fabulous dining experience year after year. Service is top notch. Truly a wonderful dining experience from start to finish.
A stand out in Healdsburg!
Get ready for an elevated dining experience! The scallops are delicious. A beautifully balanced dish and equally impressive table side presentation. The charred salad had wonderful flavors and easily served as an entree. If your appetite allows, go for the 5 course tasting menu. The couple beside us ordered the tasting menu. Impressive that they brought different dishes to each for each course. Really allows to experience the range of wonderful food prepared here.
Great meal had by all
We recently dined at Valette with another couple. Our meal was quite tasty. They have a vast wine menu. We recommend Valette.
What a Place!
Great location in downtown Healdsburg. Interior decor is just wonderful--soaring ceilings, wonderful wood and light fixtures throughout. Had a great booth. Food was just wonderful: creative, beautifully presented, delicious. Service was excellent. Don't miss this one!
