Crystal Cove State Park Newport Beach Reviews
I came here on a Saturday afternoon for a leisurely stroll.
I had just gotten the library parking pass for the California state beaches so this was a nice way to check them out for free! Otherwise, parking is $20/car. The first parking lot I tried was completely full but the second one near reef point had a

Car vandalism on busy Sunday afternoon
Our car was vandalized by someone in a large white Dodge/Chevy pick up truck with very dark tinted windows . They were assisted by a young man on an electric scooter. They backed into an area near the shuttle drop off and watched us leave our car. T

Pretty iconic little burger shack with a killer view of the beach. Parking is kind of a nightmare--super limited spots and usually a line of cars. We got lucky since we were planning to walk the Blufftop Trail at Crystal Cove State Park with our dog

I really enjoyed hiking here! We went around 2-3pm so the Sun was in a great spot. The views on the beach are amazing. It also offers a great incline workout on the way back up to the parking. We will definitely go back here for another hike!

I love visiting Crystal Cove! A great spot for a beautiful scenic walk, lounging at the beach, and for exploring. We always use the main entrance of Crystal Cove. Once you enter the state park, be prepared to pay a $15 parking fee. No cash accepted.

Nice
Beautiful beach and fun to walk along. It is quite a hike from the parking lot and parking at $15 is pretty expensive. But it is what it is and Iโm still glad we stopped.
Stunning beach and great food at the Beachcomber!
The views were amazing and the beach is beautiful. The little cabins for rent in the community on the water had a fascinating history. Well worth a visit when you are in the area.
Crowded and overpriced
If you love paying to visit an over-crowded beach where everything is monetized then Crystal Cove State Park is the place for you. Attended an engagement here, one of three that occurred at sunset that day, and aside from a rude patrol officer deman

Glorious beach, parking a challenge during summer
Just wow, glorious view of the California Coast. Word is out, so parking can be difficult and the lot is sometimes full during the summer.
Beach day
One of the best beaches we love to go to with our kids. I always recommend this area. The beach is easy to access and a lot of space around.
UNREASONABLE PARKING VIOLATION - EVEN AFTER PAYING FOR PARKING PASS
So this park is beautiful, but the way they handle out of state visitors is HORRIBLE. We drove in and spoke with a park ranger. She sold us a parking pass and directed us to the parking lot. My husband put the ticket on the dash, and our family le
$15 for a day pass
So the beaches are okay but paying $15 for any sort of beach access in the parks is kind of steep. Then itโs still a bit of a hike to most beaches.

Finally took the time to visit this beautiful state park.
Always wanted to take a hike down to the beach for tidepools. Parking is $15, but if you visit any local libraries a state park pass is available upon request at no charge. Simply when you arrived to any state parks or beaches hang it up on your rear
There is a $15 parking fee for all day.
You walk along the trail to get down to the beach.
Crystal cove is positively gorgeous.
I drive through here every day. Twice! And I finally picked a cold, windy day to hike thinking it wouldn't be that busy. Wrong! It was still busy. But still very enjoyable. Dog walkers/owners: we are limited to certain areas only. So you will be wal

The park attendants give California state parks a bad name.
Consistently each time I go to visit the park or campground the employees are rude and childish. I frequently visit many of Californias other beautiful state parks and I've never been treated even close to as harshly and as rudely by any other state
$15 day use parking fee.
Can pay at the Ranger parking station, visitor center, or pay by phone with your license plate. It's a CA state park so perhaps less crowds at the beaches versus the nearby Laguna Beach municipal maintained areas. Also hiking trails as well.
I love the trails and walkways here.
I came here for vista point which is just a short walk down from the parking lot. It's a great spot for picture opportunities without having to go too far. Parking is $5 per hour so it can get pricey if you come here often. Would be back to check out
Not ADA compliant for older people with physical needs!

A must do when in Orange County
Crystal Cove State Park is just amazing place to see. Take the hiking paths or the stairs down to the beach. There you will find life guards on duty. The kids will enjoy seeing all the rocks, shells and driftwood. There is $20 entrance fee.
The weather is always nice here and the beach is gorgeous.
We took a stroll along the beach and it was a beautiful walk. The views from up top before walking down to the sand area is stunning. It was not too crowded when we were here which was nice.

Not worth $20 for parking.
I can't believe how much it is to park here! It's a small lot (maybe about 20 spots. Unless I didn't see an extended area). It is a far walk from your car to the beach (again, not worth paying to park here but there is nowhere else to park if you w

No parking Lot full and long lines
I paid for a daily parking pass and then went to park and they said the lot was full. I called the main # and the person who answered the phone said I am sorry there is no way to refund you. What a rip off!
Nature tour with park guide is excellent
Highly recommend the free guided nature tour with Beverly. She was very knowledgeable about all the wild life flowers, plants, wild life, seaweed and seagulls. See the parks website for details.
First time at Crystal Cove
A little secluded, however we found a quaint little restaurant on the beach. They gave us pager when a table was available which left us time on the beach. rock shelves were on one side where we found tides pools for exploring sea creatures, good tim
Nice place for a hike
Nice place for a hike with ocean views and many wild flowers. Paid parking with a shuttle service to the historic district. Public bathrooms, restaurants and cottages for overnight stay rentals.
Good beach run
Very nice state park but if you are going for a run, go early in the day as it gets very hot. Plus, there is no shade cover. The paved area is nice with some sloping hills but not hard. Ran up and down the beach access - that was quite tough as th

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience
the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.
If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Crystal Cove State Park Newport Beach at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Crystal Cove State Park Newport Beach page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FulfilledThread16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FulfilledThread16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at Crystal Cove State Park Newport Beach to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FulfilledThread16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FulfilledThread16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Crystal Cove State Park Newport Beach!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
